BAD FILMS YOU LOVE

Everyone has a bad film they secretly (or not so secretly)
can't help loving ! And as I Know that there is no room for
snobs on this board, reveal the films-of-duff that you can't
help but hold in your affections like a little baby jesus.

I have two to start us off:

Bloodsport - the Van Damme flick about FRANK DUX ! the first
westerner to win the Kumite in Hong Kong !!

The Langoliers - Stephen King story brought to the screen,
about a group of airline passengers caught in the corridor
of time between the present and the past ! Trying to outrun
the Langoliers, metallic meatballs which, ah, eat up the
just-happened. It's three hours long, and must be watched
when totally stoned !

i saw jack(?) and the chocolate factory the other day i
horribly loved the umpa-lumpa song:
umpa lumpa, dippa di dee,
listen to me what i gotta say...

the langoliers was fun! i liked the scary tune, kept singing
that too
i liked this vandamme movie, or was it arnold, with the
"ultimate" fighting, and all the other arnie-flicks like
running man, red sonja, conan the babarian

12:01

It's a TV movie, cheap and crappy with her who played
Supergirl and some bloke, featuring the same sort of
temporal repeaty shenanigans as Groundhog Day. But I can't
help watching it over and over again. Odd really since a lot
of the film is the same scenes repeated over and over
anyway.

It's got Martin Landau from Space 1999 in it too! Only he's
older and with that "I've done ok but really it's a shame my
career never amounted to a hill of beans" glint in his eye.

the boy's name is Charlie ! I believe, for some reason, they
renamed the title for the film to Willy Wonka and the
Chocolate Factory, or something. God knows why. Maybe they
thought people would think it was about Cocaine.

Body Melt. It's hilariously bad. It's got Harold from
Neighbours in it. I recommend everyone watched this film at
some point. EVIL HAROLD BISHOP!

Ah I have a similar one.
The Van Dough flick called, Death Warrant, which aside from
his goofiness is a rather tightly wound prison drama.

But if you want to see a truly bad Van Damme film, which is
bad through and through, try KNOCK OFF. The plot involves
Van Damme as a (choke) fashion designer (well he does have a
massive gay following) on a mission to stop knock off Levi's
which are set to EXPLODE.

All of you have heard of TROMA by the way, havent you? Toxic
Avenger?Kabuki Man? Surf Nazis Must Die? Tromeo and Juliet?
And my personal favourite Red Neck Zombies?

More bad movies than you can shake a stick at.

I remember when Death Warrant came out thinking, 'Well, is
this the end for Van Damne?' I mean, the Sandman was
supernatural !

I saw Knock Off on TV a while back - it has Billy Crystal in
it too, doesn't it?

I LOVE the Troma films ! Surf Nazis Must Die is just
fantastic ! and so is Redneck Zombies! :D

Have you seen Terror Firmer? It features just about every
Troma actor ever ! It is a great little film! I think it
even got a good rating on IMDB !

But I did see Revenge of the nerds IV - Nerds in love.

hmm, I don't think I've seen that one - what's the plot-line
(if it even HAS one)?

I have Kickboxer / Kickboxer II on VHS - another classic Van
Damne movie (he's not in the sequel, which I actually
thought was OK). In Kickboxer, van Damne's brother is a
Kickboxing Champ who goes to Thailand, gets crippled by Tong
Po, and Van Damne trains under some Shidoshi and finally
defeats Tong Po in a gripping finalé featuring hands
wrapped in bandages, treacled, and dipped into broken glass
! !

SANDMAN ROCKS!!!
No Billy Crystal in Knock Off, yes he has farted some
stinkers but not that low:p

Terror Firmer sounds worth investigating. The last Troma
super film was I think Tromeo and Juliet, every Trommite
made an apperance in it.

I've just discovered that the main baddie in Bloodsport was
in Enter The Dragon, and studied under Bruce Lee !

'Chong Li! Chong Li!'

A woman comes to New Orleans looking for her father (who has
been killed as part of a rich man's human hunting game). She
hires Van Damme to help find him. Chaos, outer ear damage,
and testicle injuries ensue. + Van Damme rocks a mean mullet
in this one..

That was John Woo's first US film. Not bad for the time but
everything Woo has done is in Hollywood is a joke. A real
turd by him I saw the other day on the telly was called
BLACKJACK starring Dolph Lundgren. Nuff Said.

A Swedish ninja-movie called "Ninja Mission", by Mats Helge.
It's awesome.
There might be a third worldwar coming, and the swedish
ninja team strikes out to rescue the world.
Not by using their ninja-skills - no, they have automatic
firearms.
Dunno how many people they kill - but it's a lot.
The movie also features great location shooting in Sweden
(shot in Sweden), Finland (shot in Sweden), and Russia (shot
in Sweden).
It's an international production with bouth Swedish and
English (and some eastern European) actors...
