most gruesome movie

most sickening that is

galigula
the piano player by michael hanneke (and funny games though
that didn't look that disgusting)
100 days of sodomy (though i just had to laugh about it the
last time i saw it)
itchy the killer (that one too maybe if i see it again)
most disappointing: american psycho but that book was too
horrible anyway

thats all i can think of right now: horror movies aren't
that shocking. had a bigger list once: wanted to see what a
night of whatching this stuff would do to people, never
tried it though

"benny's video" by Haneke is more awful than "La Pianiste",
I think.

Some mondo movies are real difficult to watch.
Quite close on the subject are Italian cannibalmovies and I
think "Cannibal Holocaust" is the best one ever made - it
shows very little gore but the scenes are real long (I guess
you already know the content of them)...

I had a hard time watching "Nekromantic" - the ending scene
in which he commits suicide while masturbating it just makes
me sick everytime...

there are worse movies though, like Pasolini's "Salo"...
haven't watched it yet, and not sure I will either.

cannibal holocaust was on my list, but i can hardly remember
it anymore i thought it was just horror: i remember we used
it as background once in a lounge at a concert for fun. i
don't know necremantic or benny's video. salo is 100 days of
sodomy.
la pianiste actually was pretty subtle without the music
except when played by her and stuff: it was horrible to
watch.
anyways i don't get off from this stuff i just want to take
the challenge once in a while.

cannibal holocaust is sickining because of the beautiful
music (by Oscarwinner Riz Ortolani), of course together with
the visuals. but the music is kickass.

If you want gore and stuff, watch undergroundmovies, e.g.
from Germany and Japan. they should be easy to get now with
internet...

There are of course "documentaries" with real strong
content, e.g. mondomovies (eventhough many mondofilms are
fake to a degree) and thoose movies featuring real terror
from wars and real street violence, e.g. with hooligans...
but I don't really want to watch "real" violence... it's not
my kind of thing...

Ichi The Killer

Horror movies are almost universally shite.

yes i hate that
japan reminds me of eurochickido or something, that was fun,
with that girl raped by that octoppus kind of thing till she
explodes
you can buy salo here:
http://us.imdb.com/Title?0073650

heh.. I wouldn't like to buy it...
I believe it's one of thoose movies you want to watch, if at
all, then once.

Like cannibal holocaust, I think it was more disturbing the
2nd time I watched it cause the first time I had no idea how
the movie would end, but then I already knew and had to go
through all of thoose not-so-pleasant-to-watch-scenes...

but it's real good. amazing what Deodato did with that low
budget...
but then, he's Italian ;)

but salo is a italian masterpiece too! and by know it isn't
as shocking as it used to be, but that depends gravely on
how you go and watch it of course. will have to see canibal
holocaust again, classic title anyway

yeah watch it again.
as I said, watching it without the music is kinda useless.
The music is a big part of the scary-feeling. It's real
good.
Ortolani is a great musician.
I've heard people saying they don't like the music - but
that's generally the same people who don't like the movie
and want to bash it.
It's a classic, and I think it's one of the most successful
(in cash) Italian movies ever made.
The same goes for the (german) mondo-film "Faces of Death".
The first movie in the series was bigger in the theatres
than Star Wars Episode 4, in Japan.
It was made for the Japanese audience, but made it to the US
to become a cultmovie...

So yes, many mondomovies weren't underground when they first
were released, and a lot of people watched movies like
"Mondo cane" to learn about other cultures and weird things
in the world.
But as I also said, mondofilms are known to be quite fake.
If you've seen them you know what I'm talking about.

supposedly the whole Faces of Death series consisted of
fakes.

Well... the % of fake footage differed from different
parts...
It had some real stuff.

I have not seen the whole series yet, so I shouldn't talk so
much about it - but it's what I've heard...

"mondo" the genre, comes from the movie "mondo cane", which
is Italian (I think) which means "the life of a dog".
"Mondo cane" starts at some place where they keep dogs
who're going to be killed and eaten (by humans)...

Surely that takes the biscuit!
I've seen a real graphic scat video once, think that was
pretty gruesome!

yeah... actually a classmate of mine owns the DVD...

the movie was very disturbing, but yet it had some nice dark
humour (like the maincharacter's girlfriend leaves him for a
corpse)... hehe
but the movie is nothing special really...

thinking of something else?)
how come you watched it? =|~~~x

I agree with bill... Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It may not
have such a high blood volume count but it is very sick and
fucked up.

Yeah, you know, I've actually no idea how I came to see it,
I'd never thought about it until just now!
It was a few years ago when we used to smoke a lot of skunk
and watch videos all day...
Anyway, one day I remember we dug this porn video up - Was
pretty amateur looking at first, then five minutes into it
this girl sticks a bottle of wine up her arse, and before
too long she's giving herself a colonic and emptying her
bowels over some other girl underneath, who's loving every
moment!
It's pretty nasty, because after a little while they're both
covered in shit!
You start imagining how it must smell!

"we dug this porn video up"...
haha...
that's too weird. I mean it's not something you can rent in
the everyday store...

agreed, accompanied by the visuals the music made me sick.

I'd say the most gruelling movie I've seen was a short one
about US soldiers scorching the skin of a live pig and
another short where a russian or chetchen soldier is on the
ground with a foot on his head getting his throat slit.
Truly gruesome shit.

hehe, y'know, someone I know must be into that shit! It
never even crossed my mind before!
I've seen this really dark video clip off Ogrish.com, where
this rapeist is getting his throat cut (in the middle east I
think) by the woman he raped... There's definetly something
really dark and wierd about the whole thing!
