I just saw the movie. It was kickass. French movies are ofthen very sweet and playful, and this was a masterpiece.
Also Amelie is stunning; just take a look at Xammax avatar :)

grat flick.. i just watched l'auberge espagnole this weekend which stars Audrey Tatou.. shes not nearly as fun to watch in this.. the movie wasn't anything to write home about either.. but it kinda reminded me of whet it would be like if some xltronicers lived together.,..\
anyhow, im getting off topic. Amelie was a fantastic film

great film.
please also watch Jean-Pierre Jeunet's earlier films - "Delicatessen" (his best work, imo) and "La Citée Des Enfants Perdus" (intrigueing visuals).
(let's forget "Alien: Resurrection" for a minute..)

is there anyone here who DIDN'T like amélie? i thought it was shite, i tried to sleep but the sound was too loud... one of the most boring movies i've ever seen, apart from the bits with jamel debbouze who is really funny (the guy from the grocery store). and that yellow colour is so annoying, everything is obvious, no surprise, crap predictable jokes etc. i don't get what's fantastic about this movie. i thought it was a stupid movie.

quite the opposite. if i were an 'extrovert' i would've quitted the cinema and gone for something else instead of wating my time. maybe that'(s just because i'm french and the charm didn't take effect... probly not though cause in france everybody loved it. i thought matrix xas shite too, though when you're stoned the fighting scenes are trippy.
