Yesterday I brought 3 really great albums for 3 really good
prices.

DJ Shadow-Entroducing.
Ulrich Schnauss-Strangly isolated place
Autechre-Chuastic Slide

all for £30.00.Which I think is a great price.
I've never brought a DJ Shadow cd release, for that matter I
haven't heard much of his stuff. But I have to say this album
is great and well worth getting. He seems to be one of the
best Dj's/samplers out there.I wouldn't know what to call
his musical style,hip-hop with a twist.Anyway whatever it
is,its great.
Obviously Schnauss album lives up to his name, very much his
style.Although I haven't heard all of it yet,I dare to say
its not a good as his previous works, but still a
masterpiece.
Chiastic Slide-well I'm only just listening to it righ now
so I can't comment.

Anyway I'm gonna give these releases a few more listens
before I give a final......review,if you like.

chiastic slide -THE landmark ae album, imo

10 pounds a cd is pretty much a standard price, though,
innit? :)

How do you manage to stay so cutting edge with your choice
of listening music? :P

I just realised Chiastic Slide's tracks are mixed
together.And mixed well.
I've always wanted a mixed-track AE album.
:)

I'm always far behind in music releases.
And as you guess I dive in a the deep end of the scene,I
don't find new artists i'm not a innovator.
But thats how I like it,i don't care about "cool factor",i'm
not interested in new musical crazes and i'm not bothered
about trying to be the first to find a good artist and
saying "oohh I like him ages ago before any of you!" or
"he's so last week!"

i think most if not all people here have already commented
that his new album is miles better than his last album,
faraway trains. make sure you listen to it lots i think you
have a future yet-to-be-classic :)

I don't think he can top faraway trains because to me that
is a near-perfect album.

about DJ Shadow, well Entroducing is nice enough, but I
don't listen to it very often at all... and I do still think
The Private Press is better...
