This is a great album musically - too bad the production sucks so bad. Everything is compressed worse than a TV commercial, and the EQ is biased towards high mids. Kinda earsplitting even at low volumes. Are his other albums the same? I'd get more if it had better production / mastering. |

:D glad someone likes this record. are you listening to it mp3/cass/cd or vinyl? I have it on wax and the levels are ace.. im thinking it was mastered for a vynil release and that version made it as the cd master later.. cause i also got some mp3s of it and they sound, like you said.. "all shitty" maru-mari is the name of the thing that let you morph into a sphere in the original metroid game.. get "ballad of the round ball" next |

I got it on CD. Sounds better on vinyl? Argh, and me with a record player so shitty that even the cat laughs at me. Maybe I'll try to change the EQ in sound forge. I think there's a used copy of "ballad" on CD at my usual shop. Will check for it next time I'm down there. You're sure it wasn't also mastered for vinyl? |

i am not sure.. but i own it on cd and not vinyl and im happy with the quality.. im not even sure for WH.. just guessing. |
