there are so many directions that you could go in. it sounds currently like a very long segue, evocative but too featureless. it needs more focus, a more deliberate theme or structure, otherwise it's like wall paper. pleasing wall paper, though... |

thats the point im stuck on im not sure what format to go with, it would probly work with cut up patterns or traditional structure with a few more parts built around it. |

It sounds like a poor standard recording of crowd whistles etc. I would actually like some muffled distorted beats to go with the atmosphere...then some fucked up sounds like people being murdered. At the moment all you have is basic sounds passed through the Scream4 |

oops just posted this in the wrong topic wierd stuff nobsmuggler.. makes me think of something.. not sure what at present.. maybe one of the subtitled euro movies we get over here.. i like the overall impression of the singing combined with the strings :] |

Hmm... I don't like the strings. If you're going for realism, needs some subtle vibrato and more of a swell, could be very powerful that way. If you're going for warm electronic strings, then needs to be further away from realistic and just a string like patch. It detracts from the overall mood for me... then again, I'm hypercritical about strings/piano, so take it for what it's worth. Also, for quick and held string notes should be two different patches or envelopes... I hope this helps honestly, be glad to answer questions or review updates if you wanted to work on this Idea: Move the voice around into the foreground of the piece when something interesting is being said, or when it's being chopped up the way you like, maybe like the person is moving around, big brother style... yeah I liked it all in all, gave me a nice Tool vibe... in black and white |
