Hmm...wassup with this track...the sounds don't sound
right...sound dull and flat mostly.

Having said that...first you imitate AFX acid style
perfectly..now you imitate Squarepusher perfectly...

I used to be your biggest fan, but you don't have any
uniqueness to your music, you always sound EXACTLY like
someone else.

Sorry :D

Wouldn't surprise me...although some of Mr Pennyworths stuff
has been much better than the shit they are releasing :D

*listening now*

sounds nice. so far it's really good, but nothing too

hahahahaha niiiiiice ending :) but it lost me for a while,

dont worry ecnadniarb, just trying stuff out :)

offline xceque on 2003-06-28 18:25 [#00761363]

hehe, it sounds flat cos it's at some absurdly low bitrate.
You gotta train yourself to hear past the crapness of
poo-mp3. It started out well, but quickly got a bit boring
with that noodling, meandering, non-descript melody. Then it
just lost it completely and went bonkers. I loved it! :D

i'm too lazy for that stuff, sending tracks out i mean. and
yeah i tend to do more personal tracks when i stay the fuck
off other peoples music. i'm gonna dump all of my mp3s for
about a year =)

I like it. Good stop starting, it's a bit like a "track"
made by someone DJing.

The homoerotic undertones were pointed directly towards you,
Pommes.

That is DJ Dirqual in my avatar.

nice track. It has a sinister feel to it. The melody in the
first minute or so is incredibly weird... constantly going
in different directions than i expect. And like other people
said, the ending is also kind of unexpected :-D

Thanks, i enjoyed it very much. You know every night i dream
about the day you will release an actual album ;-) I want
one so bad.

"this is like 3 short tracks mixed together"

Yes, i noticed... it makes for some nice variation in the
track. But this time it works much better and less abrupt
than in that live dj-set that you did for yourself (?) a
while back. Yeah, i definitly think this one works better as
a whole.

I kinda liked the beginning but I don't like bending tones.
THe silent part @ 1:10 is nice but I don't like the melody
that kicks in a bit later.
Hm, the part @ 3:16 doesn't seem to fit well at all, the
sudden change, it's weird. The ending is cool, but
squarepushing as the motherfuck.
You have great skills, but I dislike your melodies.

that's funny... the melodies are always what i like best
about dirqual :-p
I know nothing about musicmaking, so i don't really notice
if someone has good skills or not... but it's always the
melodies that attract me here. Oh well :-)

i like the melodies too~

but how come yer tracks aren't absolutely perfect all the
way through pennyworth?.. you know, like everyone else's on
the board.

:\

i'm not in it to make perfect tracks, i do it because if i
don't, i go bonkers.
most of the stuff do is made by intuition, the melodies just
come out as they intend to, and the drum patterns are made
in 30 seconds..
i save the best things for later =)

that reflect clearly in your tracks in fact, but makes half
the magic of them...
intution is the term, listening to them is like being
carried away with your creative spirit all the way thru the
track...
but PLEASE stop with the low bitrates :p
