Yes yes, I should feel ashamed.. but I havnt listened to
any LFO.

I mean, ive heard Homogenic, which he produced... but I dont
have any of his own music.

Is it anything like the tracks he did with bjork?
electronic, yet organic sounding?

And reccomended albums?

Thanks!

Frequencies is a classic, and for $12 or whatever the price
is at some stores, you can't go wrong. new album dropping
late summer/early fall if you want to hear something
post-homo ;)

'Advance' would be the obvious one to go for. Highly
underrated in my opinion.
And it has a circular hole in the CD sleeve! What more could
you ask for?

Um... there's not actually a lot to choose from.

Frequencies is an absolute classic for sure, but it's
nothing like Shove Piggy Shove.

shove piggy shove was reworked into the bjork b-side "i go
humble". if you really want homogenic style electronics go
for advance or wait for the new one. frequencies is the one
heralded as a classic but both are great, and i'm not just
saying that.

(the only problem with advance is it's out of print in the
U.S.)

yeah, that was why I mentioned that track... sorry everyone
else for the dodgy continuity in my thinking :D

And Advance appears to be in stock in Warpmart, on CD. For 9
quid too. Bargain.

good for jelly.

Originally, Nottingham (born there). But now from Cumbria.

Sheath is a great title for anything. Stealth is also a
great word. And "Stealth sheath" just has me brimming.

And the longer I look at the word, the less right the
spelling looks.

the bjork track w/ mark bell that plays in being john
malkovich is called "amphibian" and it's easily one of her
best songs ever. there's a "film mix" and a "mark bell mix"
(this one is short and really bizarre).

I have no idea. I've not been there since I left Uni
(about... er... well, a number of years ago) other than the
odd quick dash around record shops. I don't remember it
being like that when I was there. At least I never got any
lay-deee action

I moved away when I was 10 and went back for Uni, but only
for a year, so I must've missed all the totty action. I
guess it was the start of the 90s. Besides I was young and
naive. And startlingly ugly. So when any girlie came within
a 20ft radius it was purely accidental, and quickly resolved
by the use of un-ladylike language and a barge pole.

ok thanks. how did you get banned from isketch? i didn't
know that could happen. what did you do?

the reason i called you a dink is cos you came in an isketch
room and didn't say anything before leaving! and you haven't
said anything to me on here for a while. i was going to
email you about something but i figured you wouldn't reply
so why bother. what're you stressed about: your music, your
friend, _______? good luck to you. if i can help you with
some song titles let me know, i have funny tit(t)les just
pumping in my veins.

p.s. i take back what i said about the mark bell mix of
"amphibian", bjork gets her 9 lbs. cocteau on

You can learn to live with almost any situation if it's
gradual and constant. It's the things that happen suddenly
that throw you. But those things are few and far between.

I've always wanted to name a track "Presidential Whore" or
"Spanner Alarm", but I'm untalented with making music, so
I'll never be able to use them. You can have them if you

I saw aphex after and he said the first hour went well but
the last half hour went crap. The Bjork thing was really
good it built up throughout the set and everyone went with
it, she complained a bit about the sound but it was a really
big hall. I spent most of the time with my girlfriend re
writing the karmasutra...I only checked a few other things
over the weekend.

I recorded most of the Sonar bits off Radio One. Themselves
were the best of what they broadcast. I'd have liked to have
heard Aphex and a few others, but they didn't record it. And
I missed the Bjork one :/

nicca is how latino gangsters say "nigga".. "que paso

with isketch maybe you can just change your name and you can
use it again.. i can't imagine how or why you'd be banned.
what's this about prefuse? i think his new album is really
awesome. the musician friend is moa!

i think Frequencies went out of print too. the reason i say
this is they used to sell it on barnes & noble's web site
but now it's no longer listed.

the guy i know at warp says they're thinking about reissuing
the warp catalogue in the U.S. so that would cover the
strange disappearences of these 2 LFO albums, some autechre
ep's, and at least one aphex ep (donkey)
