In a sequencer, can I link one value to another? Can I set
any dynamics for those values? What sequencers have that?

Like, when velocity jumps, the filter on channel 4 gets an
exponential boost value of 5 and then fades off with a
bounce

I mean, could you explain what you mean with linking one
value to another?

. . . Like you mean volocities ?

Or you want to use one sequencer and have another one run as
a slave to it?

Explain

To have such detailed control would probably mean building
your own synth in Native Instruments' "Reaktor" software.
You can however often link different controls to the
velocity - for example the filter ADSR (envelope genereator)
could be controlled so that it is applied more the harder
you press the keys (or if you edit the velocity data
yourself.

The hard thing is that most sequencers I know of have a
different number of units for different operations so that
the filter might be controlled with a value between 0 and
256 while the pitchbend might be controlled with a much
higher resolution (should perhaps be the other way around
but in Propellerheads' "Reason" it's not).

I have to pass this question on to someone with more
knowledge than me I suppose

well, who really cares about running this through that and
sequencing this before that and after the other one.

but if you're interested in a KORG ES-1, check this out on
ebay! the ad is great for a laugh, even if you could give
less of a fuck about a korg whatever the hell:

Korg es-1 electribe Sampling Groove box, PIMP
