this..

working out what someone is saying by analysing waveforms
and spectrograms. it sounds interesting but it's not. and
i've got to do a long write up for each one on the analysis
that's brought me to the conclusion of each phoneme

if that makes any sense

Yeah, that looks like some work...

What are the variables involved? Like the waveform, I
suppose, would involve, of course (?), the analysis of
"rises" and "valleys" maybe. But anyway, looks tedious. And
when you say "what someone is saying", do you mean an actual
word, or what emotionally is being communicatied? Oh, if
it's by phoneme, then I guess an actual word is being asked
for. I bet you hope it's a short one.

But anyway, good luck with all that. If you're any good you
may be be able to get a job in the CIA or the Irish
equivalent. You can decipher muffled recorderings of people
plotting...stuff.

Is that key supposed to be subliminal or am I as gay as you?

I'm sure it's an accurate representation, though.

Oh, that's my life-long ambition.

And yeah, you're mainly looking at the spectrogram, although
the waveform is handy for plosives and stops ('t' and 'b'
etc).

the one i was holding up there was a person saying "we beat
you at soccer" in a Hiberno-English dialect.

that looks quite interesting, perhaps it is not quite so
interesting when being marked on it though.

working there or whatever you're doing.

Looks stylish.

see the unabomber dressed THAT way with THOSE fuckers...

That's really a beautiful thing to be doing, especially in
what I'm guessing is traditional clothing probably dating
back centuries...so connected to your country. I sense a
duality in the unabomber.

More info for SValx:

The naveta des Tudons is one of the most emblematic
monuments of the Balearic Islands' history. One cannot miss
the visit due to its beauty and the magic rising from the
stones. It is funeral monument from the ending period of the
pretalayotic era (bronze age), built from huge stone blocks
perfectly assembled in the shape of a vessel upside down.
Its façade is flat and slightly curved, where we can find a
door opening into a square hall, which communicates the
lower chamber to the one above by means of a sloping
chimney. After previous excavations in the past, it seems
that the naveta was supposed to be the chamber for the dead,
as the inside was designated for the presence of the dead
together with their personal belongings. They were also
offered other objects such as bronze or china figures.
