You can buy black Cd-rs. Spikee Dragon (at least, I think it
was him) told me where ages ago... ask him next time he's
on.

there acually few corporacions that are producing black cd's
,
most popular are cd's from Dysan - it's caused by low
price...
....and that's fact that black means less sensitive for any
scratches or something....

also , verbatim produces colour cd's , it's usefull for
those who uses hole shelves of cd's for important data - and
this is completely understandable.

but do more albums have coloured cd's? and is black the only
alternative?

tge vinyls giot no label too so that's totally black - the
blurb on the rephlex site says the cd and vinyl for the new
bug record is red as wel so maybe that's a coloured cd too

KID A is kinda all black also.

offline Erronous from Netherlands, The on 2003-06-15 14:53 [#00741743]

haha, take a look at the data side. kid a is not black at
all! Very neat it looks like just a smooth plastic side. No
one can tell if any data is underneath. i'm so interested!
is it the same material? Are these (twoism + smojphace) the
only known black cd's?? are other colours possible??

hmmm... you don't know either do you..

offline J198 from Maastricht (Netherlands, The) on 2003-06-15 14:59 [#00741753]

the fact that i can now see every last itty bitty scratch on
my twoism makes me want to freaking seal it in plastic and
just not handle it anymore. then i'll just buy another one
(maybe seal that one), and a vinyl edition.

I always buy black cd-r's. They don't seem to cost more
actually, and they seem more durable, and look a lot cooler.
Just go to best buy or whatever major electronics store is
in your area.

Yeah all the playstation1 CD's are black, and when I
accidentally scratched some they still worked fine. This
must be the same with music CD's? anyone care to try this
with their twoism or smojphace release and then post back
here with the results will be granted a champion

offline Erronous from Netherlands, The on 2003-06-16 02:06 [#00742460]

is this something usa-only or australia-only? I'm pretty
sure european ps1 games aren't black. I've seen only a few,
so now i'm confused. I thought it was a pretty new
technique, but ps1 games are quite old!

Still, these are the two only known black music releases?
