Yea Mechanical Animals was good and some of Holywood too... I saw him live a long time ago.. it was good. He's really cool. Just not really my type of music anymore. Scooter have been around for years and I bet you have only heard the singles. They have a lot to offer and keep the vibe alive after so many years and as goes the charts about the only interesting thing happening to them in the UK. Thank god they can still get in the charts and shift singles because their albums are 50 times better. Who are you to judge them? The respect to the man in the ice cream van is a shout out to YOU the fucking worker who can still go to a club and enjoy unity as a group as one. Have you even seen the video? If you actually pay attention to it you see a good message! We may be the workers but we can work for the weekend, everyone is entitled to a good time. I could go on but fuck it. Don’t fucking diss scooter because they have a lot going for them. They are underrated because people are too pretentious about music to give them a chance. Listen to a track called Siberia. Rick has a massive studio and very good skills. He can perform loving or deep melodies and inspire so many feelings. Just because it's 4/4 you want to disregard this? If it's not your thing then fine but don't judge them unless you are fucking sure you can back it up. |

At one point their album sales went down just as mp3 was kicking off big time and this was also around the time I got the Internet. Now people where uploading a lot of music from Germany and the UK to servers free to download. This fucked Scooter and was the cause of them not being stocked in the UK for a good few years because the albums would come out in Germany first and people in the UK would have a good few months to download it. I'm missing many singles (and at the time couldnt get the albums) and they have only just started to get things back together. Why do you think German CDs have copy protect on but not UK ones? It's to stop us getting it before the UK release. If it wasn't for Scooter I'd not be as into Techno as I am now and every time they release something I buy it. The last single let me down a little but the unity the video proposes and the album more then make up for it. They KNOW music, they know the clubs, they can replicate any one of these atmospheres and make it live again. Get past 'the voice'! (on ramp it was scooters cleaning lady sped up.
