i was at a wedding over the weekend and got chatting to 2
people who work for the designers republic. they told me
lots of interesting facts about what they are doing at the
moment....

1. designing a sleeve for an aphex twin dvd due for release
later in the year.

2. the new LFO album cover.

3. squarepusher has nothing in the pipeline currently (on
warp anyway).

4. warpfilms are doing a new dvd colloboration with chris
morris at the moment.

a genius who does very dark comedy. warp released a comp of
his bluejam show on cd a few years ago and made the "my
wrongs" film with him.
i guess in sweden you wouldn't have heard much about him.

might have passed me by.
Anyway if you recommend him I'll check it out... around when
will the DVD be released, in northern europe that is?...

good news...
I'm surprised at the comments on LFO. Guys, I think this
release is gonna be unreal... From the snippets I've heard,
it's gonna be a new/updated sound for Mark.

squarepusher... oh well.

I mean no disrespect to LFO - I just haven't got round to
listening to him yet.

yeah can't say ive got round to listening either, perhaps
when xltronic goes online i might get into lfo, but i dont
know anyone with lfo stuff and i dont want to spend £16 on
a cd i might not like (although i probably will) and i dont
want mp3 for a number of reasons.

true true.

give it a DL on slsk. "Frequencies" LP is a classic!

his remixes are top too.

yo earth. no shit.

My comment went out to peeps not wanting to listen to LFO. I
guess I didn't make my response clear enough.
I meant "if you wanna give LFO a try, DL it off slsk" -- a
NO risk sampling.

I would think that anyone who downloads music and finds
themselves enjoying it, would buy it.

I thought that was a given. but I guess not.

haha ok well i'll let you of... this time! :P

i think its being mastered or pressed or something this
month anyway

for me, advance is the best album on warp by miles.

advance is soooo underrated! truly one of warp's finest and
also a personal all time favourite.

LFO has some really excellent tracks on both albums, not
just Frequencies although that's the best one. i'm excited
about Sheath, i mean how can this album not be dope after
mark bell spent time with bjork and depeche mode?! i think
it's going to be like a master work, one of the best warp
albums in the last 3 years. the only thing about it i'm not
looking forward to is it's only going to be about 45
minutes. i'm used to 60 minute albums and you just know that
guy has tons of music he's not using, considering this'll be
the first LFO joint since 1996. hopefully he'll release some
EP's/singles with the extra tracks.
