Anyone here who went to this years ATP in Camber Sands?
What did you enjoy most?

I went. I enjoyed drinking absinthe most, followed closely
by AFX's set. Then Zoviet France, then swimming in the sea.
Then trashing our chalet (miraculously not breaking
anything!) and finally having a proper press photogropher
get pictures of giginger and my best mate fighting.

*Russel hassel for playing whitehoise, noise and harsh
beats

*RDJ for a mad jungle/ragga set

* Vsnares for puishing it beyond the beyond

Well the whole event was awesome but for me it seeing Aphex
again and being right at the front. Public Enemy were
something else and I'm seeing them again hopefully. Plus
seeing lots of bands I'd not heard of and hearing their
stuff. I'd like to say ATP TV was great but it wasn't :P
Although it did have Beat Street on which is great.
Walking past people who were actually appearing was also
quite cool as was having a chat with Rob Brown.

You don't know the user "Dreamer" by chance do you? Were you
there?

ATP TV was great! What about Cutmaster Swift (who
I'll be seeing in the flesh in a couple of weeks) on Wogan?
:D

Shit yeah! That was fucking hilarious. Even getting Wpgan to
fucking scratch. I note that he didn't practice that talent
and put it to use on the radio. Cuh! Ungrateful git!

Me and my best mate took a bottle of La fee each... it's the
only "authentic" absinthe :-)

Did you chaps have it too then?

The moment I enjoyed mostly was the twister tormented
screaming sound at the end of the Venetian Snares set. I
actually cried.

It would of been lush if Wogan was actually better than
swift and had started crabbing really fast. They should of
faked that up, it'd of been hilarious.

Yeah....La Fee too... It was great that you could prepare
your drinks in your chalet and then bring them to the
venue.

Andrea Parker and Mira Calix was brilliant as well... but we
had run out of Absinthe by then...

I wasn't there, but I heard both Aphex Twins' and Venetian
Snares' sets. Aphex had more style, but Venetian Snares had
damage and aggression. The rap and jungle samples he used
were fucking wicked, I'd love to know what songs they are
from.

He he, the local produce will do that to you :P

We saw a load of guys from Dublin who were out of it on
tranqs and we assumed it was your lot :)

zyx: You weren't meant to take alcohol on sight, but
security were pretty cool about it. They told you off if you
had a can in your hand in the venue, but I got tanked up on
absinthe in the chalet and took a hip flask full of it for
"top ups". I didn't buy a drink the whole weekend although
OakAmsterD bought me a pint of Guiness.

Damn, I nearly forgot, my mate burning a flag was hilarious
too.

Those tranq kids were hilarious. When I came back to the
chalet without you lot I was chatting to one of them for
ages. He was great. Didn't say what they'd taken though.

They always get raided but our nice irish pigs usually have
the sense (or lack of resources!) to leave us to it!!! That
beach rave was the day after a Reophlex gig and Rephlexs
Maddog Wallace turned up with some records too.. palying AFX
remixes just when it was released! lurvely
