nothing really rare and sought after by lots of people, i
just have some pretty limited editions of
not-so-very-well-known artists i had no difficulty
getting... ' _ -

• Merzbow - Tamago (350 limited numeroted copies, i have
#141)
• Bernhard Günter - Un Peu De Neige Salie [re-edition]
(500 limited numeroted copies with first 200 signed, i have
#114 (signed))
• Einstürzende Neubauten - Supporter Album #1 (between
2000 and 2500 numeroted copies, i don't know exactly how
many, with the names of people who bought it - there is
"uzim" somewhere on the kind-of-booklet... : ))
• Nurse With Wound - Soliloquy For Lilith 3CD box set (not
the rarest but by far the one who gave me the most
fucking difficulty to get in my collection (because of World
Serpent)!! don't know how much copies, maybe between 1000
and 2000...)

apart from that, some other limited editions and
out-of-print stuff that would be hard to find now... but
nothing that would make collectors drool and spend a lot of
money : )

I've also got a MArilyn Manson picture disc. This is rare
because no cunt wanted it. I didn't really but it had a
picture of a baby on a crucifix !

This is it.

i got a lack of memory 12" that's limited to 50 copies, but
i don't think it's very sought after, maybe for collectors
of norwegian electronic music. and what's worse is that it's
bad - i only bought it cause of it's rareness. next in line
i think is the one sided st etienne vs aphex twin 12". mine
is #20 of 250.

im one of the people that don't get this collecting
thing...it has absolutely nothing to do with music itself
imo.

in the year 2052, when civilsation finally capitulates into
semi-anarchy after geroge bush III's now infamous 'nucular
terr' speech, hard currency and will be worth nothing,
digital media will ceast to exist with the advent of
rationed electricity, and all buying and selling will be
done once a week, on wednesday afternoons in the newly built
'boris johnson' market place in south kensington, via new
'vinyl' coins.

I hear there is a CD with the Hecker remix on. I read
somewhere that it was almost impossible to put this song on
vinyl due to some crazy needle skipping bass ?!??!

Well, I have not heard the song, but this sounds strange.
There must be some serious low frequency fun going on. I'm
not sure about the science of needle skipping, but I would
image switching between various sub bass sounds can cause
it(?).
It's probably to do with too much bass combined with too
many tracks on a 12", so the grooves are too close together
to accomadate the cut size required for the low frequency.

offline mashnote from mol (Belgium) on 2004-11-16 11:20 [#01396983]

i don't know if these are worth a lot

mask 500 - 12"
verbose - observe 3"cd-r ltd to 100
team doyobi - push chairs for grown ups (remixes) -
(#714/1000)
a couple of smak's
and all merck releases are ltd to 1000 i think, i have a
couple of those

and lots of hardcore stuff which is pretty limited, but not
important in this thread:

death of anna karina/flying worker - split 7" - "missing"
cover ltd to 45
hot cross/light the fuse and run - split 7" - clear vinyl
ltd to 100

etc...

from what i recall, the hecker mix had such a brutal
frequency-range that it was impossible to cut a master @ the
pressing plant. i think that they tried numerous times but
couldn't make it work. that is the main reason the are doing
the cd version, and because skam liked the remix so much.

the same thing happened to fatcat when they were doing an
installment in their split-series with merzbow.
