The Vatican Nitez cover is good because it reflects how
silly the music is.

After listening to VN and seeing the new cover (which will
reflect the amount of wank contained within), I cant take
him seriously as an artist who is trying to be "deep". AE is
deep, AFX is deep, Sqpusher is deep, etc... GG is not, he is
shallow to me. As for fav rephlex artists: D'arcangelo
executes a 20hitcombo + fatality to GG.

a lot of those artists you just mentioned release some
blatantly UN-"deep" music, i think goon is just the
opposite. instead of releasing mostly serious music and then
some fun stuff he releases mostly fun stuff with the
occasional really impressive/beautiful track.

I havn't really heard much of his music, and havn't really
liked what I have heard. What are the names of some of his
impressive/beautiful tracks?

But seriously how can you say that these songs aren't
profound:

Ziess Contarex
Vordhosbn
Port Rhombus

Music is just communication anyways, GG doesn't communicate
with me the way the others do.

Long Whiney, DX, Afterlife,
Grand Piano, Mim, Rockford, and
Bassy Hip Hop are all great tracks off of CoH.
Haven't familiarized myself as much with VN, but it sounds
pretty good, too.

Goon has a style, though it might not be yours.

And I really don't care how/if he promotes himself
(especially if it means connecting with his fans). In the
end, he'll only sell records if his music is good.

thumbs down... he personally is an asshole which doens't
help me like his music.... i mean if his music was good it
wouldn't matter but it's not..... the only reason he got
signed was because he was friends with rich.

i'm sad to hear you can't appreciate any music that isn't
"serious" or "deep". i recommend you find your way to a
p-funk conert.

Jonny Hawk is like Britney Spears, he just whores his way to
the top like a slut, nothing is really behind his product
but just sex. Because I mean I have to give props to
Christina Aguilera because I mean, she can sing somewhat,
but she uses her body to sell her product thats for sure.
Like umm K?, Tee Hee, get my flow? 17/f/NYC wanna pic? send
to recieve like hotties only umm k? [Fart Noise]

i have cradle of history and vatican nitez and i love 'em
both! i don't know too much about the guy, but i don't
really care; i like the music, that's all that matters
right? he has his own reasons for doing the things he does,
just like you all have your own reasons for doing your own
things. don't worry about it so much. it's not like you have
to be his friend! it's just about the music!

so...yay!

why would anyone want to write so much about an artist they
don't like? other people clearly like global goon - you
don't - so get over it. Jesus!

I started one the day I heard about it, but I quickly lost
steam. I liked what I was doing, but it sounded too much
like the original (strangely, though, I don't actually like
that track). So, I doubt I'll finish it. Good luck to you!

Just to clarify, I'm stating why I dont like him, just as
much as others are stating why they do like him. By this
process I can learn more about why Global Goon doesn't suck
a huge hairy one. Jon Beilin made a good post to point this
out.
