by the time i discovered it, they'd already released up to
lp5 i think. I like both of those but not as much as
lp5/ep7/chichli/ and some peel session tracks.

well. in THAT case it's been almost four years since i
started listening to autechre. about...-ish.

offline sadist from the dark side of the moon on 2003-04-24 13:49 [#00666965]
Points: 8670 Status: Lurker

okay, the reason why i wanna know this:

i thought (reading all the draft topics),
that people who are listening shorter to autechre like draft
more than confield...

for example me... i listen to autechre for maybe about half
a year, and i can't get into confield (it sucks for me, but
i will now tell how cause someone will tell me lame etc.).
so i thought that maybe draft is somehow catchier and that's
why people not listening to autechre for a long time like it
better.

hmm. i dunno. at first i think i thought i liked draft
more...but the more i listen to it i think i like confield.
more. which is kinda saddening, almost. i'm sure their next
release will be wonderful, though. i mean...they're ALL
wonderful...

I hated AE at first. Its was just boring and uninspiring
(incunabula days). Then I bought Tri Repetae ++ and thought
it was the most repetitive shit ever. I downloaded Confield
and hated that even more.

Now I dont even listen to Incunabula, Confield is growing on
me, Tri Repetae++ is their best album (IMO) and Draft is
totally rocking. I listen to AE about once a week now,
sometimes more.

1. depends! when i try to listen to Ae when not in the exact
right mood, barely 5 minutes then i get bored... when in the
right mood, sometimes one hour, sometimes two. i've been
listening to Ae from time to time since one year ago i
think... and i listen to it maybe once in 10 days approx.

2. yes! Confield!!

3. i don't have it. what i heard from it was good, but not
different enough so Draft 7.30 isn't a priority for me.
