following up on this...

.0180871L

.0180871R

are both track titles on Analogue Bubblebath 3.

Now, I know that the L and the R stand for 'Left' and
'Right,' and they were once a single track, with the tracks
playing, exclusively, in their respective channels. This
doesn't sound like something Richard James thought was all
that clever, especially since the two tracks dont synch up
with each other. I think he worked backwards from this;
purposely convoluding this track wasn't the initial intent.
If any of those, my first guess would be (0) 180 871 1218.
He's into mixing up and coding otherwise normal symbols of
identification: personal and stage names (Arched Maid Via
RDJ, Wet Tip Hen Ax, Hangable Auto Bulb also Bradley
Strider) track titles (Laughable Butane Bob, the many
different 'Aphex Twin' anagrams may be used in this case)
vocals ("Taking Control," "Children Talking," "54 Cymru
Beats") drums, melodies that distinguish certain songs, and
many artists' works are manipulated (or completely
obliterated) beyond recognition in his reworking of tracks
like "Zeroes and Ones," his own "Ventolin," and
"Spotlight."

So, there is no reason to think he wouldn't have looked at
his phone number (considering it for use as a track title on
an album of all numerically-titled songs; many of which may
also be decipherable codes) and considered the following:

(0) 180 871 1218

"Hmm. Let's see, the 1218 part gives me two A's, a B and an
H, (ABAH, a popular disco-crossover group of the 70's,
thanks, Sweden.) or, it gives me an A, a U and an H, (AUH)
or it can give me an L and an R." He then quickly glances at
his headphones
_____

(L) (R) <-- headphones... .. ..
clearly really expensive ones

and notices the two speakers each channelling two different
sounds. "What if," he thinks to himself, beginning a
tangent, (I've read interviews where he discusses his short
attention-span, thus the rapid and frequent changes and
pacing of much

sounds. "What if," he thinks to himself, beginning a
tangent, (I've read interviews where he discusses his short

attention-span, thus the rapid and frequent changes and
pacing of much of his music) "I put two different tracks in

each channel at the same time, a novel idea, but hey, it's
based on a pretty stupid idea to begin with.. I probably
won't spend much time on it." Which, he clearly did not, as

it totally sucks.

having rephlex's number is no big deal. anyone can get it
quite easily if they are smart.

last time i called them which was some time ago, their
answering machine had the theme music to airwolf on it. it
was pretty funny.

getting anyones number is really rather easy.

they are adresses and phone numbers and birthdates mixed up.
