Does anyone know any hidden tracks on cds?

For example the Ep7 track, pause track one and rewind it
untill you reach -9:00.

Has anyone found other hidden tracks with this method?

My CD player won't play the EP7 hidden track. I can rewind
it but no audio comes out.

I don't know of any other 'rewind past the beginning'
tracks, sorry.

Also, is there anyway to extract that track on a computer? I
can't seem to get it to recognise that track.

well, there are the two secret tracks on the Skampler - a
track by jega and one by gescom.

although those are hardly secret - they appear after a long
silence after "everything you do is a balloon".

I have heard it on somebody else's player, just not on mine.

And on Will Oldham's "Guaperro/Lost Blues 2" album.

What's this about a hidden track on Nevermind, have I been
missing something all these years?

Is that after a significant gap, because I thought it just
stopped after Something in the Way.

I noticed somewhere that it had something to do with the
band wanting to screw up CD players with multiple formats
and what have you.

endless was on the first runs of the cd then for some reason
im not sure of, the track was taken off, then nirvana became
rock stars and everyone bought the cd pressing w/out the
song

Hmm, I guess I did only get round to buying it a couple of
years ago. Didn't know it was rare though.

if any of you have the vinyl edition of Opiate by Tool, i
read that the hidden track (The Gaping Lotus Experience) can
be heard during Cold & Ugly if you place the prick of the
turntable at the right place... i don't know if it true,
you'll have to make several tries to find it maybe, but if
it's true it's a well found hidden place! : )

offline uzim on 2003-04-10 10:21 [#00642722]
Points: 17716 Status: Lurker

found this on the Tool FAQ at toolshed.down.net : )

"If you'll notice, the secret song on the Opiate album
appears not to be on the Opiate vinyl. I was listening
quickly to the vinyl one day, lifting the needle from song
to song when suddenly I noticed the secret song ... during
Cold & Ugly! It just so happens that the vinyl was specially
made so that depending on where the needle falls, you will
hear either Cold & Ugly or the secret song ... once the
secret song finished, there will be silence until the needle
goes back onto the right track .. you will then hear
Jerk-Off."

The one at the end of Kid A after a few minutes of silence
after Motion Picture Soundtrack. Its kinda like a little
organ phase, its wierd but kinda euphoric for some odd
reason.

IronLung > 'disgustipated'... it can be #69, #30, #39, #10
or even #9 (beginning one minute after 'flood'), depending
on the pressings.

mine is on #9 after 'flood' (i was first worried, i thought
my copy didn't have it!)...

i dig the tribal jam at the end of 'toxicity'.
and 'damone' from around the fur, that one takes FOREVER to
get to. but its worth it.

'gaping lotus experience' is one of my favorites.
how about the small insturmental after 'motion picture
soundtrack' on kid A. i think it's called 'genchildren'.
that one's good.

There is one short track (40 sec.) after like 30 minutes of
silence in the second disc of Ulver's "Themes from William
Blake's The Marriage of Heaven and Hell" , an awesome album,
very tracendental for me. The lyrics of the album are the
complete book of William Blake, I think Coil fans could like
it.

There is other in the Arcturus "La masquerade infernale" CD,
rewind 2:30 minutes before the track 1.

I think is not possible to read these kind of secret tracks
(before the start of track 1) in a normal cd-rom drive,
don't remember where I read the format names of read CD's.
