If someone put a gun to my head and demanded that I choose one album as my all time favorite, I would be forced to choose The Mollusk. Unbelievable. They have a new album coming out this spring.

I have Chocolate & Cheese and Pure guava and they are both great. Everyone in my dorm hates them tho, so i blast it really loud sometimes to freak them out. HIV song is the greatest song ever created. O yea they also have a new album coming out soon!

My best friend played Ween songs alot once. I used to think they were odd, but I guess their oddness dulled in comparison to what I've learned from this board. Still, they make me smile.

Titties: If you like Piss Up A Rope then there's a good chance you'll like the whole album; 12 Golden Country Greats.
Heres a fun tidbit: Ween was hired by Pizza Hut to drum up the tune for the Insider Pizza advertising campaign a while back. Don't ask me what the hell they were thinking. Needless to say, Pizza Hut ended up not using the bed music.. however, you can have a listen here.
(even if you've never heard ween you should seriously check this out)

ween are a guitar and effects rock band. their whole "thing" is being goofy, lude and offensive on top of masterfully crafted songs. they write in many styles including: blue grass, latin country, pop rock, irish folk, metal, speed metal, slack rock and even in the style of jimmy buffet (check out "bananas and blow" a song about snorting cocaine in a tropical cabana). if you want a good introduction to Ween i would suggest the album Chocolate and Cheese. every song on that album is a winner. also The Mollusk is quite rambunctious. The Pod is an album they claim to have written while locked in an apt for weeks on end huffing Scotch guard. it is recorded totally on a fostex 8 track tape recorder. White Pepper, another of my favorites is probably the most subtly humorous of their albums. here they mostly just mock a handful of musical styles from metal to grunge to beatles style pop. I'm not too familiar with Pure Guava but that had a couple songs that actually got some radio play.
One thing i always admire about Ween is how they are obviously accomplished musicians but they choose to write with a silly facade.
