It was great! It was the Chunklet Magazine 10th Anniversary Gala. The place was packed and David was kind enough to bless the crowd to all new material. In fact, quite a bit of it was free associaton/stream of conciousness comedy. As you could imagine, he had plenty to say about the war, president bush, protest marches, etc. I had a great time. David Cross is one of my heroes and it was nice to see him in person. The last 20 minutes of his set he went into a question and answer session with the audience.. and it looks like the next set of Mr. Show DVD's is coming out in August (yay!). Anyhow. I took some shitty pictures, and managed to get an even shittier recording, I got home after 3am and had to get up at 7.. but it was all worth it. You may all rub my avatar with your thumb in an attempt to channel some of my coolness.. |
