demos recorded at the right track studios, released on such
bootlegs as purest feeling... definitely reznor at his
sweetest. a more stripped down and happier sounding pretty
hate machine. i've loved these demos since i first heard
them in 1997. check out "maybe just once", prime drum
machine and synth reznor that never made it to the album cos
it just sounds too damn hopeful.

I already got some great mp3's of those. I got some Lame
extreme mp3's of purest feeling I, and 160kbs of II. It's
good music.

Wow, Just listened to it then, totally see the different
direction from Pretty Hate Machine.
You could almost smile while listening to this!
I love it! I'd like a studio version though.

"Mabey Just Once" is a great song, it is to bad it never
made it to the studio for pretty hate machine.
But an even better NIN song that never made it was "Now I'm
Nothing"

I am going to get the bucket of chalk and put it out on the
front step of ryan's place. Then I'm going to write Hot
Topic next to it. I think he will get the point.

not sampled, played live... of course it's the worst nin
track ever, but i love it. it cracks me up (speaking of
cracking, how about trent's voice in that song!)

my fave PHM demo would probably be "that's what i get". in
many ways better than the final version. love the acoustic
guitars and extra lyrics. the "kinda i want to" demo is
great too. it's like cheesy preset roland 808 magic.
