Simply drop the attitude some of you're having regarding
the moderators actions (banning and topic-closing). If you
don't accept it - then leave and save us from further
trouble.

Also, keep up the quality of the threads - some of the
topics are pure shit. It's all about common sense.

If people continue this "rebellion against uncontrolled
moddin'" you might as well shut down the board.

COME ON GUYS..IT'S FUCKING STUPID!

I don't know shit about who's banned for what reasons, but
I'm sure mailing talking to the crew (by mail AND NOT by
dupe accounts) will sort things out, or give you the
explanation you need to understand why.

Keep up the good work Moderators!

What this board needs is....

a counter telling you how many times a thread has been
veiwed. its not really a complaint, but that seems to be the
only thing missing from this board, aside from the ability
to search words of 3 letters or less....i was gonna make
this into a seperate thread but decided not to, keep up the
good work mods!

You can't have a search that allows only 2 letter searches -
the server would overload with the kind of indexing that
would take.

I think a good feature would be to not allow posts under a
certain # of characters (words) to stop the following:

Bob: You online?
Fred: yeah, dumbass, I'm typing this, right?
Bob: Oh, OK.
Fred: No problem!

Bob's post count: 3000+
Fred's post count: 4000+

This board is used too much like a chat room rather than an
actual discussion thread where viewpoints are expressed.

Phob is 100% right about the quality/content of recent
threads...

rigid limits are crap, too unsympathetic... and people would
simply get around them by putting lots of random characters

some people haven't got that common sense, or it's lost at
the moment.
I just joined a couple of weeks ago, but it seems like the
board has changed, even since then...
well. I wonder why people complain about the moderators,
they're here for us to keep this board decent even when it
seems like it's going somewhere most of us don't want...
or maybe -I am- wrong.

I haven't seen that particular thread title, but it's along

I think a good feature would be to not allow posts under
a certain # of characters (words) to stop the following

> bad idea methinks... what if someone asked like (just an
example), "when is draft 7.30 coming out?", and someone
would want to answer "april 7th", but couldn't because the
message would be too short so (s)he'd have to lenghten the
message, making it like "well, to answer your question, i
think that album of autechre is coming out on april 7th!
cheers!"

how ridiculous °_°

and it wouldn't really prevent people from having stupid
conversations, just by adding more textual @#&* into their
messages...

"hello, hello, hello, hello, how are you?"
"fine thanks! fdso ofdso sdo fdsohfsdo fou"
"w00t!! cool!!! yee haa!!! fuck webmasters!!!"

figured id poke my head in quick and say i agree with
EVERYTHING that phob and ceri and ophecks and sine have
done/said in the past few weeks this junk has been going on.
hopefully their words have some effect, and pave the way for
more of a sense of true community.

btw, some of you seem hazy on what this means. community
doesnt mean this:

dude: i like radiohead! yay!
dude2: you suck!
dude: no... YOU suck!
mod: break it up. im warning you.
dude: HE started it!
dude2: i hate xltronic! fascists!

you see, this is not community. break apart the word. it
inherently means you have a mutual respect and consideration
for the feelings of others. this is not the case, as of
late... and is why i and others have been staying away from
this place. i pray you all gather your senses and act like
reasonable individuals. to the management: keep up the good
work. this place is worth it.

good point Uzim...
Like Key secret said, I myself have only been here for a few
months and I really love it, but it does seem different, but
I think the Mods are really doing a good job, and I think it
really should be "if you don't like it, then leave"

Sorry for my 2 cents, Ill shut up now...

There's a pretty fine like between spontaneous good and
spontaenous bad, causing rifts between mods and some
particular users that I won't name because I can't be
bothered frankly.

I don't mind the odd bullshit topic, surely it is just
expression half of the time, but if that is all the member
has to bring to the board, and it becomes frequent, by all
means ban the fools.

i agree about people should have more self-control about not
posting shit topics...

but about not expressing our opinions about webmasters and
moderators -
i understand and totally agree about the fact that you're
working hard and doing all this for us who just chat and
take profit of your work
i understand if you think we don't have the right to
criticize since we aren't making anything but just
profiting.
but don't take all critics as personal attacks, against any
of you nor against the site/mb! when people just express
their opinion, even if it's a bad critic, it can help
improving it. be a little understanding, please...

and you could just ban everyone criticizing the actions of
the webmasters if you wanted - there would always be
criticizing. they would always find a way. and it would just
become worse and worse for everyone.

agreed, some explanation or warning would be nice imo

the way it goes now only causes more riots, cause people
don't understand the reason why someone was banned
sometimes

it's a pity that there's no clear policy for this banning,
one day everybody can say and do everything without getting
banned, the next day it's 3 peeps in a row who get kicked
out for a week
