sorry for opening another thread about it, but this album is so awesome i just couldn't resist...i know most of this music's been around for quite some time but i heard just a few mixes before i got the album.
now that i gave it quite some listen, i can say for certain that this is an absolutely awesome music-its happening to me that when i start listening to it i just cant stop...it took me a long time to get into drukqs (which im lovin' now), but 26 mixes was love at first listen (actually second because i listened to it on lousy speakers the first time hehe).
now that album's been around for some time, what do you think about it?
(btw, when is his next album to be released? :) )

I think Analogue Bubblebath 2 is great. If I had $40 I'd buy it on ebay right now.
26 mixes is good, but not something I'm gonna listen to as much as Classics, or SAW 1.

Right! Really awesome..... Disc 1 is flawless. Don't like Mescalinum United track and Dmx Krew on disc 2... Because I heard the MU track already thousand times on Classics and the DMX Krew track is too commercially sounding for my tastes

Yes raising titanic is great. Shame they only included ones, but a least that was the superior (IMO) one, the "big drum" mix. Now, if they just re-issued that one track on 12" I'd be over the moon...

My enjoyment of Heroes is marred by the fact that the sound drops out for six 100ths of a second during the song.
It may sound pedantic but I did a digital extraction and found the glitch I was hearing. I guess it is on everybody's copy, but to me it is really noticeable.

I think the self satisfaction that I've got an album that most people don't understand is worth the price itself. I can just conspicuously leave it in my record collection and sit back and watch the gasps of awe from my friends. Personally, I'd rather listen to some Coldplay or Norah Jones.

Dear Ophecks:
you little cuntie, i WON`t use the search feature in here, because honestly, THERE IS NO SUCH THING. I highly support lazy pricks like Tolstoyed here, that start up topics that have been talked-and-talked about, instead of wasting his time on some shitty search funtion.
kisses and hugs for you my dear.

So now we have to apologize if we start a topic about aphex twin?! *softly mumbles something nasty*
But ehr... yeah...Yes! I really like it! I didn't have particular high hopes for this album, but i'm finding it one of the most enjoyable aphex-releases!
(altough the 1st disc is far superior to the 2nd).
raising the titanic, zeroes and ones, heroes, time to find me... they're all fantastic. But the one track that really stands out for me is #13 "let my fish loose"... this has got to be some of the most beautiful pieces of music i ever heard in my life :-)

it's great to be a afx fan in these times. i just hope we get a new ep from him. Possibly a HAB1+2 cd release. they already re-released twoism, so what is there to stop warp making some more "cash" albums :) they could even call it "HAB1+2 for Cash", "ABB5 for Cash", "Caustic Window Album for Cash", "Melodies from Mars for Cash". I'd like to think "26 mixes for Cash" is just the first in the series of the aphex twin "Cash" albums :)
