I have $17 american, will this be enough to get it at my
local record store? (best buy). I'm only 16 and have no
job, I want to know if I'll need to launder my lunch money
any longer.

I wonder how much Rich got paid to do his "remixes"? What's
the going rate?

but maybe more for someone like Jesus Jones, who I think
Rich didn't like at all, hence his non remix (a cool aphex
ambient tune instead) maybe they offered nuff dollar.

Funniest thing for me is that he hadn't even heard one of
the Nine Inch Nails tracks before he "remixed" it... :-)

u.s. since it's a 2x album (thats how much drukqs was when
it first came out here)

How much is it going for in the big UK stores (Virgin, HMV).
The reviews I've read show the RRP as £14.99.

I remember HMV used to stock SAWII at £18.99 or something
ridiculous.

£13.99 in my local HMV. Didn't know it was a digipack.
Nice.

I've already got it Mr Zero, I was just wondering how much
Joe Public would have to shell out if he saw it in his local
store.

It shouldn't be more than $17. They should know better than
to sell music for that much in the US. It doesn't sell to
well at that price. I'd buy it if hadn't gotten it a week
ago. I ordered mine from Warpmart the day it was available
for pre-order. Otherwise would've gone through MNS. When
I have money again I will be buying LOTS of Autechre through
them.

i was walking through the parking lot of toys r us last
night (i work there) and i saw a gold coin on the
ground...at first it looked real...then i noticed it was
foil....then i realized there was a face on it!

...gasp!....

...but it was just a lame piece of chocolate with a face
very unlike richard's. damn.

I did a pre-order with warp. This album is new to me apart
from the NIN tracks and the Normal remix so I get to enjoy
it as a new thing. I'm glad I didn't download the remixes
now. :> Only trouble is I want MORE!!! More Aphex Twin!

Some bad shit has been said about this release on here.
Wouldn't it be really funny if Richard where to read such
comments and have more reason to release fuck all?

I want fresh AFX *gnaws talons*

I think the most you'd pay at bestbuy would be $14. Which
was how much i paid for Ab3 which was there somehow.

best buy carried most everything that got released on
nothing stateside, i got ae ep7 there cheap (11.99!), and
they had squarepusher, plaid, so of course they'll have
plenty of afx likely for a good price (i also saw ab3, and
the 1st ab) i'm pretty sure you should have enough ;-)

offline Asche XL on 2003-03-25 12:37 [#00615558]

I was at Best Buy this morning and they didn't have 26
mixes. I already have it, I just wanted to see how crappy
they, cause I know they didn't sell all of them. They only
had CTD, ICBYD, and SAW1 & 2. They only had 3 Autechre
cd's, not release, but 3 single discs, Basscadet,
Tri-Repetae++, Peel Session. 1 of each. It's sad, I wanted
Incunabula.

i just bought mine from hmv yesterday. Man heroes is a great
track! i thought with all the big name people on there like
nin it would be a crappy collection, but the album is
actually more good than bad, of cource its so varied no one
can like All the tracks......

$26.99 Canadian, that's pretty cheap considering they sell
stuff like Joyrex for 45 friggin bucks CAN. Heck even AE's
Amber, a non-import standard CD, cost +$30 here in Montreal
when new :(

You should supporting Imperial Records. They would have

OK, next time you go into FOPP (presumably on Park Street)
turn 180 degrees, then look slightly left up the road. You
will be looking at Imperial.

i got mine yesterday from solo music in salisbury (small
independant record shop) for £10
so anywhere charging MORE is making too much profit, as solo
music must still be making profit at £10
