i used to play when i were young, when i was 13 or 14. then
was the beggining of my deliquence career (and almost the
end), i stole all the card i needed...
all cards i have are third edition, kinda shivan dragon,
reverse damage, serra angel...
i used red and white worlds.
i dont play magic, since some years ago, but i still have
all my cards as a memento...

i loved this game, until they started releasing a new set
like every goddamn week. i couldnt keep up with it and it
got insanely expensive as well, so fuck wizards of the coast
for that. too damn bad cause that game fucking rocks.
i so loved my all black discard deck...

i still have all my cards though. maybe i'll be rich by the
time i'm 100 years old

hahahaha~

i was just about to start a thread about this the other day.
i play ALOT, i am actually pretty serious about it. I
think alot of the recent expansions have been excellent with
the exception of legions and onslaught (which suck IMO).
magic 4 eva.

if you want me too i can post a copy of my deck.

haha get your ass on some REAL RPG !!!
cards and videogames are just little attempts to reach the
perfection of role playing games
must have a good game master tho

what?

i play advanced dungeons and dragons a lot.

I don't think magic is an attempt at all, its a completely
different game, its competitive for one, and there is almost
nooo role playing.

well dungeon and dragons was the first rpg,
there are alot of them, seriously i think it might interest
everybody who plays magic. must give a try imo

my main squeeze (and the best IMO) is AD&D (much better then

I finally got back into it, after about 6 years, I helped my
friend sell his black lotus for $450 and we used the money
to buy some of the new cards. We buy a box ($80) a week -
actually only did it twice - between the four of us so its
nothing if ur working and we play sealed deck. The game is
fucking genius, there is really no doubt about that. Just
wish I had more time, its really hard to tell my girlfriend
on the phone that I can't talk to her because my life total
is reaching 0. I'll play with one of y'all online or
whatever if there is a free way to do it.

i bought a lot of cards maybe 4-6 years ago, then i just
sort of stopped because i didn't have anyone to play against
except myself. i did play some online game called
Apprentice as well, though i think that was sort of dumb
because you could basicly make a perfect deck right from the
start. (and you had to give your ip to random people on irc
to play if you don't know anyone).

I started collecting the cards when 4th edition came out,
but I was only ever into them for the collecting sake and
because I love the art on the cards.... Now I'm back into
hardcore and I love the game too (I never really even tried
to understand how to play it when I was younger, but it
truly is a very fun game!), and the art is even better than
it was in 4th edition. I'm not really into the MTG online,
but maybe if someone can convince me that its worth my while
to sign up (what fees are there? you have to digitally 'buy'
your deck with points right?), I would do so. Anyways, all I
had ever bought in the 4th edition days was like 2 75-card
tournament packs, and a couple booster packs from the 4th
edition and Dark expansion. Now, I have a deck for every
color (though I just merged my green and red decks into a
fun green/red deck) and a Blue/Black and an All-Color Legend
deck (most of the good cards in it I traded one of my best
friends who has a GIGANTIC collection of cards... I'm
talking 5000+). I really wish I could play the actual card
game with some of you, but I guess MTG online is the only
way its ever going to be possible. I've got about 5 friends
who play magic, and usually every other night or so we get
together, blaze, and play magic till like 6 in the
morning... It's like guys getting together to play Poker...
except that Magic is better. =P

I used to love this game but when the new cards came out
that were nearly all artifacts it changed the dynamic of the
game.

I still love to play my crazy blue library destruction
deck!!!

It seems as though all the newer cards are designed for
really short games... because they're all so damn powerful.
I think maybe this was intentional by Wizards of the Coast
to revive interest in the game by making it easier for the
average player (who doesn't spend that much money on the
game) to get some buff cards. The best decks would probably
be ones that use all the best oldschool cards with the
insanely buff creatures from the newer sets... I wonder what
the decks the World Champions play with are like? Probably
pretty unstoppable against the casual gamer, since they pour
so much money into this game.

Lol I used to play this when I was in primary school... I
say 'play', the rules were far too complex for me so it was
more like collect only. I had a SERRA ANGEL does that make
me cool? I remember my friend got a Wrath of God, nearly
giving my other friend a heart attack. Yeah I was cool.

oh and speaking of library destruction deck, the reason I
got a shitload of great gold cards for my allcolor deck is
because I traded my friend 3 really good blue cards that
turned his blue deck into an unstoppable library
destroyer... it's not even fun to play against him when he
uses that deck now because you are gauranteed to lose. =P
