Exactly! What's the deal with that? It should be entirely incumbent upon the USA and UK to rebuild what they are currently busy razing.

has it occured to anyone that a country's infrastructre actually NEEDS govt buildings that they are so busy destroying..just rebuilding those will cost hundreds of millions unless Iraq govt bodies are expected to operate out of tents...

It will be interesting to see how this situtation pans out. I am pleased by the strength of the language that Chirac is using in censuring the aggressors -- it gives me a perverse pleasure to think of the uptight American right-wingers getting their knickers in a twist over the fact that someone would dare criticise their leader's methods and motives. I think a lot of small-minded folk across the states will be joining the group of morons who have decided to teach "those darn frogs" a lesson by completely excising the word "French" from their vernacular. Such a powerful display of conviction and patriotism this is!

And they want to send back the statue of liberty to france now :-p
"Members of the SBL feel that the Statue, titled "Liberty Enlightening the World," can no longer suitably represent the relationship between France and the United States."
I wonder if that will ever really happen? it seems ridiculous... but then, so do freedom fries.
