It will be interesting to see how this situtation pans out. I am pleased by the strength of the language that Chirac is using in censuring the aggressors -- it gives me a perverse pleasure to think of the uptight American right-wingers getting their knickers in a twist over the fact that someone would dare criticise their leader's methods and motives. I think a lot of small-minded folk across the states will be joining the group of morons who have decided to teach "those darn frogs" a lesson by completely excising the word "French" from their vernacular. Such a powerful display of conviction and patriotism this is! |
