The competition everyone is talking about was this thing a couple months ago where global goon had unestablished artists remix one of his new bits and then they won some records... pretty good promational idea imo. ------------------------------------------------ I don't understand why Zues feels the responsibility to call GG out. To me, this appears to be a much lower form of self promotion.. And another thing.. why are we even hearing about it? If Zues left the board, then I really don't think he needs to send messages to the rest of us through his peers. ------------------------------------------------ most of these rappers are talking shit out of the side of they neck what the heck? Man, Zeus was a dick. Jar was telling me about some thread where someone had asked who they reckoned on the board was most likely to become a famous musician or whatever. Guess who put their own name forward. What a twat. I loved the way he posted pictures of his "studio" as well. Oh man that's pointless. I don't care how much equipment he has. You can have the best stuff and still make the shittest music. Although having nice stuff does help. I'm glad he doesn't post here anymore. I would make a point of avoiding any of his threads for fear of being hounded to listen to his music. How funny it'll be if he's reading this now. Hello Zeus! i dont think your tracks suck zeus, they are competant, but uninspired. Technically fine, but soulless. they would make ok elevator music (mainly because one would only be in the elevator for 10 seconds or so) |

He he! Look at the Zeus bashing now he has gone... I remember that thread between him and Theo. Zeus' site promo thread became a slagging match. I think that summed up the way people felt pretty accurately. Nothing against the guy personally as he was always civil to me, but he did seem to greatly over estimate how good his music was. Perhaps if he had 5 or 6 groupies on the board who always told him his music was great it'd be understandable, but as it was, no one ever really encouraged him yet he still go this idea he was the next big thing in electronica. Kudos to GG, he is an IDM b-list artist (by his own admission), yet he was comparatively humble and open to criticism... |

I don't think it's quite fair to flame zeus now that he's not a member on xltronic.com anymore. if you have a problem with him, simply mail him. I personally don't like this schoolyard behaviour. but that's just me. closed. |
