what sort of person are you?

Most of the people I know who are really into the genre are
pot heads or really reserved, quiet people. I don't fall
into either category, I'm just a normal guy who really
enjoys his music, mainly idm. It seems every genre of music
has its types of ppl, hhc has candy ravers, psy trance has
its hippies and so on...frankly I just like the music, but
im not any of the types of ppl I mentioned above. Are you
like me or are you a wierd shy person or a hadcore pot
smoker?? What sort of people are idm ppl in your opinion?
thats my rant for today :P

I wonder if anyone here can challenge me for sheer social
aloofness. I go to college and I can go a couple weeks in a
row without opening my mouth to anyone there, not even once.
It's ridiculous, I need some behavior altering drugs badly.

I can be loud and outgoing around those that I really know
well, but I've long since alienated anybody I was close to
with my social phobias.

I don't do drugs though, that's not very ''IDM'' of me. I
don't need them, I'm fucked up enough!

Ophecks I think I can relate to you to a certain extent...

Basically I've always been an outgoing, happy go lucky skamp
but due to certain events in my personal life i have had
anxiety related problems which can have quite an impact on
your social life. I won't go into it but I have been on the
verge of agrophobia at times with all kinds of physical
symptoms that have you asking yourself 'why am i like this??
what is wrong with me?? etc, etc...

Just think of it like we're having a mid-life crisis now and
we'll be laughing in a few year...till then, i'll stick to
my aropax ;) btw, get maggot every now and again, it makes
you feel great, and takes you away from the stress of the
modern world :P

Ophecks...that sounds like me...
But I don?t really call my situation "social phobia" - I?m
just not that interested in meeting people, I find it quite
boring.

Drugs are for people without imagination, they really must
be understimulated?

I suppose you have to be kinda eccentric to like this music
in a way, we're pretty unique individuals i reckon ;) idm
ppl are great to talk to i find, very chilled and open in my
own experiences...people at raves are great too (ecstacy
does wonders, lol)

Seriously, I'm not interested in social things either... I
avoid them and I'm only happy when alone. I don't want
friends and I already got rid of whatever friends I had...
so I'm not sitting around wishing I could make friends.

BUT... you CAN'T be alone! There's always a need to be
around people, you can't avoid it. You have to work most of
the day with people, go to school with people, go out to do
everyday things among people... modern life isn't designed
for freaks like me.

And I'm NEVER BORED... my mom thinks I'm bored and depressed
because if possible, I won't leave my room. Not since I was
5 have I been bored, there's too much to do.

I only get bored around people. ''What do we do now?'', you
know. I'm never thinking, ''what do I do now?'', I'm always
occupied, the day isn't long enough.

Haha, are you serious? Where to? Probably Halifax, eh?
Nobody really cares about the rest of Nova Scotia.

If I told my mom a Spanish guy I know from the internet was
coming to stay with us, she'd think I was insane and tell me
to get a grip. But if I had my own apartment/place or
whatever, that would be pretty awesome, you could crash.

So are you really coming over here? You don't want to be
anywhere near where I live, in Cape Breton, it's isolated
way up North here, only city for about 6 hours of driving.
Shit city with a toxic waste dump in the middle of it.

Here's an pic of the dangerous part of my ''beautiful''
town:

Ophecks...and now even more!

Right now I?m quite comfortable, I don?t need to work - but
I?m starting to wonder how the hell to get cash in about 3-4
months.. I want a quiet job I can do alone.

Focusing on music, that would be great to do - always...

nacmat - you?re just too cute... ; )

Same here, I need a job where I can be isolated and do my
own thing... I had to hang around with 3 guys for 8 hours a
day all summer and that was just unbearable. Such boring
people. They definitely thought I was insane.

BTW I thoroughly agree with you about boredom. It simply
