Anybody have a love of mushrooms to share? I am
particularly interested in mushrooms and cooking. What
kinds do you eat? Do you hunt em? I'm going to give the
mushroom hunt a try this coming spring and hope to be making
meals out of it.

shiitake are damn good. i'm eating shiitake and rice right
now, which is what brought the topic to mind.

a friend of mine knows a few spots where he's found both
morels and chicken of the woods (tastey!) and we'll be
monitoring those locations through out their seasons,
whatever they are.

my tips for mushroom picking:

mushrooms out of cowpats are tastier
you can eat up to 6 deathcaps before having to go to
casualty (body mass permitting)
cider and crisps make them go down easier

i can't wait till autumn

thanks, i had planned on avoiding the death caps, but i
think now i'll grab everyone i see :)

apparently the death angel (the vicious white amanita)
actually tastes like an incredibly fine mushroom... and then
you die of course.

crunchy and smooth at the same time. now, THATs magic :)

i hate reg. mushrooms

i for some reason love phycoactive mushrooms.

oh oh oh

and i loooooooooooooooooooove playing quake 3 CTF while
shroomin'

WHY?!?!?

BECAUSE OF THE FUCKING BEAUTIFUL COLOURS...umph, all that
blue/red could make anyone fall into a state of euphoric
endangerment.

vid games and psilocybe? isn't that a bit anticlimactic?
the focus of my mushroom trips is ecstasy. usually involves
musical instruments, dancing, singing, crying, laughing,
tears, belches and farts.

that's common rumor, but they are full of good proteins and
minerals. they are especially important for vegetarians or
those who don't eat very much meat because they contain
every amino acid required in our diets and then some.

Jupitah, we all don't follow the same trail.

But I'll tell ya this, with a RA3 Rail percentage close to
75% - is quite fucking impossible. You see, shrooms = =
slooooooows down + in quake/RA3 = = ultimate rail god :D

I actually just got some of the Teonanácatl last week. Now
they sleep here next to me in a drawer. I'm just waiting for
the right time to shake hands with Soma and stimulate the
synesthetic subconscious.

there's always a strange feeling i get when i'm holding onto

i just read a novel (anything considered) about this guy who
is guarding the secret to cultivating truffles. a decent
read.

mushrooms are of prime importance in what i eat. mind you,
i dont eat them every day, but they are one of my favorite
foods.

duxelles stuffed under a chicken's skin before roasting
gives it a wonderful flavor.

pleurotes (oyster mush), king herrings, chatrelles,
girolles, morels, trompette de la mort, mousserons, nameko,
all of them are wonderful, man. sorry i dont know some of
the english names...
