I just go the album Monsters and Robots and it's ( lack of
a better word) totally awesome. I can't ?describe it, but if
your fan of some sick guitar riffs, cool scifi techno sounds
and progressive drums then check it out. Anyone know of him

Monsters and Robots is good. I especially enjoy Nun Chuka
Kata. Buckethead is alright, but I bought the album because
Les Claypool plays on 5 of the songs and sings in the Ballad
of Buckethead.

I've heard alot of weird things about him, like he wears a
kentucky-fried chicket bucket on his head and records in a
pidgen coop. His weirdness intrigues me...

That's what made me get the album, and then listening to
this in dolby digital 5.1 with the bass turned up made feel
like i had to make a topic about it.

No, that was Kenny Dope presents the Bucketheads 'These
Sounds Fall Into My Mind'; a house tune.

I'm getting into more of his stuff. Whitewash is great. Have
a look on youtube for vids, some of his solos sound like
D'tachi!

Buckethead is a guitarist and composer who has recorded
several solo albums, as well as collaborative albums with
Bill Laswell, Bootsy Collins, System of a Down's Serj
Tankian, and Primus bassist/singer Les Claypool. He has also
worked with Viggo Mortensen on several limited-release
albums. His stage persona is unusual: he wears a white mask
and a Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket on his head. In addition
to his eccentric aesthetics, he displays this persona to
press and fans alike: instead of communicating as Buckethead
in public, he ventriloquizes with another mask, his
"personal spokesman", Herbie. On stage, Buckethead enjoys
not only entertaining by means of his guitar work, but also
with displays of his nunchaku kata and pop-and-lock
breakdancing skills.

A versatile artist, Buckethead performs and releases music
that is rooted in many varied genres. Although best known as
a "shredder" whose primary concern is virtuosity and
blinding fretwork speed, his numerous limited-release albums
cover and blend many different musical genres.

Buckethead was a member of Guns N' Roses from 2000 to 2004.
He quit the band due to personal differences.

Ahhhh Buckethead- makes me harken back to my youth-
indulging in psychodelics and listening to the Subharmonic
lable- Buckethead played on tons of stuff the best being
his work with the band Material. Cucumber Slumber is still
one of my all time favorite tracks.

Buy it Now!

as for playing with GNR, well a brother's gotta eat...
Bucket Head is Ingvey Malmsteen
Is he really? Wow! It makes sense now that I think about
it, but I had some friends that listened to Im-gay and I
pretty much abhorred it. His solo work (as Bucket Head) is
pretty much masturbatory, but

Laswell chilled his ass out and used him well- I've got the
Axiom Ambient Collection in front of me now. I dug through
my compost heap of cd's and miraculously found it-
scratched to fuck...

Very good tune, btw, using a sample of Chicago - "Street
player", a splendid disco song.
