hmmmm... yay for squarepusher, nay for the pretentious
doushebag behind it (we really don't need a 50 page
manifesto detailing the theory behind such watershed pieces
like "my red hot cock" for christ's sake..)

and was 'come on my selector' an sqpshr/aphx twn
collaboration like the 'free man acid' track was? it's
sortof hinted-at in the video

How can you not like "My Sound" or "Rebus" ?

Sounds like you have issues with the man himself, not his
music.

Haha, nah. I don't care too much for his music, although he
has 3 sweet songs.

If I had to, I'd take Photek's old production material over
Tom's anyday.

actually.. I'm into squarepusher.. I haven't heard enough to
not like him.. everything I've heard by him is pretty good..
some of the jazzy stuff is pretty good.. though boarderline
cheesy(?) .. his music isn't quite as innovative and melodic
as aphex twin.. but it is.. cooler.

let's see

"y" is the 25th letter
"n" is the 14th letter

(25+14)/2 = 19.5 (rounded to 20)...

...tae!

both really good. tough call..

The production and attention to detail on Go! Plasic is
superior, But, FMWT is closer to my heart though, more
nostalgic.

oh go plastic is that new? hmm..

which one has "squarepusher theme, theme from ernest
borgnine (?) tundra, come on my selector, free man acid"...
I'm sure they're all on different releases...

the manifesto thing is really embarassing.. read the
pitchforkmedia.com review of that album to get a pretty
accurate synopsis/commentary

it seems like hes loosing originality and the old skool
super fast break beats, cheazy thick bass, crazy hits, they
just don't do it for me, although he has a few songs i could
listen to quite a lot. a journey to reedham, and a few
others off BL.

offline rarndaraki from from from from (United States) on 2003-02-11 21:58 [#00551575]

although music is rotted one note is definitly a cool
release/idea. i just think alot of his jazz stuff is ultra
cheazy and he seems to think he totally kicks ass and
speeding up breakbeats or something.

hmm.. I just might end up buying "feed me weird things" ..
though I need to slow down w/ the cds. I just bought Tri
Repetae++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ and Confield (for the
second time.. the disc was defective) and venetian snares..
but I think I need a squarepush in my collection.. do I buy
Feed or Rotted Note? <-- I've heard this is his best?
