Royal Astronomy is a good album, he produced it after
touring with Bjork, so it should have a similar feel as some
of her stuff.

I think he has a personal style, and honestly I enjoy his
music more than RDJ.

As for my favorite album, it'd have to be the 2cd release of
Tango 'N Vectif.

funny you should mention him. i was just listening to Houzz
8.

anyway. i've been a fan of his music for quite a while. i
just like the way he "plays" with music...simple and
melodious.

my fav. album has to be Tango'n'Vectif; the first µ-ziq
album i bought. Old skool braindance at its best.

fav. song is a bit hard to choose. "London" is probably
amongst them; dark, eerie symphonic IDM.

I cant appreciate Tango'n Vectif yet. im willing to give it
another try in a few years. Right now Lunatic Harness is my
favorite.

Does anyone know Mike's involvement in Expert Knob
Twiddlers?

Lunatic Harness: Rockin

Mushroom Compost is my favorite ziq track.

Mike actually came on here and explained the collaboration
for EKT. Apparently they just sat around and drank and made
some beats, then Mike passed out and Rich finished up the
tracks.

Lunatic Harness and the Brace Yourself e.p. are his best
works, I'm not caring for anything else he's done.

and he pushes the wrong music on his label. Instead of
pushing Snares and Doormouse he should be pushing
Nautilis and Tim Tetlow. Easier on the ears and soul.

A t o p

I think you will too. There's just way too many awesome
tracks on that album.

Royal Astronomy is his most accesible album, it has a pop
flavor but still classic µ-Ziq elements. My favorites of
that album are The Hwcci song, Carpet Muncher and World of
leather. Mentim has an early µ-Ziq vibe, obscure and cold.

Oh yes, also I consider Lunatic Harness as his best work,
one of my favorite records of all time.

hahaha ;-)

Melack, for me Lunatic Harness is the perfect example of
"drill n' bass", it contains excellent snare drum
programming and memorable lovely melodies. Oh, and I haven't
read it before anywhere, but also I like a lot the cover of
that album, it's so simple that you couldn't imagine the
great charge of emotion inside the record, well I see it
that way imho.

µ-ziq definately has his own original style. Always fresh
with every release. Royal Astronomy is VERY good and the
sounds are very colorful.

Scaling is perfect and Hwicci Song is just badass.

What about Roy Castle, peops? This particular track is on
the Trance Europe Express Vol. ? It really blew me away,
when I first listened to it, and hence got me into U-ziq...A
LOT!!!

I love the way Mike P makes bizzare references to parts of
British culture like Burst Your Arm (a quote from the first
series of Alan Partridge) Swan Vesta (a match) Roy Castle (a
kids TV presenter from the 70s)
World Of Leather (a shop) ahh I cant think of any more.

I'm not too sure about µ-ziq yet, I haven't heard anything
that great. In fact one song, 'The Motorbike Track' .. or
something like that, is fucking terrible.. I have yet to
hear one good thing about Royal Astronomy or the EP that
served as its prelude. apparently his newer stuff is nothing
like Brace Yourself or Tango n' whatever .. true?
