....just to let you know

"Well we all knew it was bound to happen. As with all forums
that become popular, eventually the amount of spam and
childish behaviour takes over and it isn't worth carrying on
with it. We're sorry to have to do this to the majority of
well behaved users and lurkers, but the rest of you can fuck
off to another message board.
This may be back in the future in a different form, or not.

schmee"

Wow! is all I can say.

That board had it's moments - especially the
Squarepusher/Jega thread. Too bad.

RIP phorum

that mu phorum is the worst out of the lot. it has a lot of
aggro on it. especially that thread where jega came on and
started whinging about warp and slagging almost everyone.
that was pathetic!

opinionated guy. I never liked posting on that board though.
Every thread was an ass kissing contest.

Id like to think we have the ability to do anything, all we
can do is hold'em off untill the mods decide to show up. Its
funny how the trollers are getting familiar with the gaps in
between moderation. Well thats what you get when you dont
have mods equally distributed around the world. You get
inconsistant moderating.

Switchblades are classic. Retro Weaponry.

offline Mickey Mouse from The Moon on 2003-01-22 23:36 [#00524737]
Points: 4130 Status: Addict

I dont think it was all the ass kissing that makes me
uncomfortable on there, thats bound to happen when the
artists are found posting .... it was more of the super
elietist attitude. I mean christ, I saw a person on there
once ask a question about how to go about making a noise
track, and they flamed the poor guy alive. And on another
occasion there was a guy: shitmat, who made a thread asking
mike weather or not he listened to his demo, and immeadiatly
people were flaming him up the waazoo telling him to bugger
off beacause mike didnt have to time to waste on him...I
stepped in and told them to piss off as the guy was just
asking a innocent question, and then wildly enough, mike
posts and says that he liked it, and that he is going to put
it out a 7" of his in the near future, then the same people
that flamed him, started to kiss his ass...

it can be a strange place sometimes at the µ forum

It seems to be calm agian when its reopened (this happend
last time it was shut down for a while) at the beggining,
then the energy rises and rises until people start trolling,
its like a cycle

Kinda like the population experiments scientists have done
with rats in small spaces, the more rats in that space, the
more irratable and violent they become. Same thing I
imagine, haha

Sadly I think I'm guilty of some of that.
I think I sorta sneered at the dude maknig an noise
song...or some dude asking how to make "venetian snares
style hardcore breakcore" stuff.

But it was probabyl more3 likely to do with me just really
not liking noise or breakcore much.
Either way I'm kind of sorry I bagged them/him/whatever.

As for MikeP(iss) who now trolls tefosav, myself and gl;itch
are having fun giving him relentless shit on the tefoboard

was going to make an album that would "break all musical

"I can't remember you stepping forward quite so valiantly
Mickey"

When the board come back up check it out qrter, I was one of
only two people who told everyone to lay off him. People who
flamed him also had the oddasity to want to hear his tracks
too....

And that poor kid who was asking about making noise, that
was typical µ board flaming. Guys trying to act all hard
because this kid asked for some advise

Just complete nonsense

Like a bunch of foster kids that are mad because they didnt
get picked to live in a new family. Or a few unsigned
artists that have a chip on their shoulder because they are
not signed. Either way, there are some people there that
really make it an unpleasant place. And its a shame some
people have to act all hard and macho and ruin it for
everyone

mm.. I never had much of a problem there.. although I once
suggested that I thought the "I wanna kill everyone"-sample
in that Astrobotnia track was a bit childish and brought the
track down, and I got hit with A LOT of shit.

but thats how the phorum works and I just tried to make my
point without degrading myself.

and I hope that IS NOT Phillie-T.. :(

Who did you post as qrter? I forgot, hard to remember what
everyone posts as, Captain Crank has a completly different
name on tefosav and so do a lot of other people, the
funniest thread there was the Venetian Snares thread where
he vented his rage on someone who stole his sunglasses, haha
funny stuff

I hope its not him either, even if Phillie is Andy, he is
still a trollish cunt that just wants to start arguements
