Am I alone in thinking that releasing 26 mixes for cash on
CD alone is a stupid idea? I was looking forward to having
those tunes on vinyl! Aaaaaaaaaaghhhhhh I'm fucking annoyed.
Why have Warp changed their minds? Anyone in the know as to
the answer?

I got this info off the front page of WATMM. Joyrex is
normally spot on with his info. I hope this time he's not.

Vinyl worshippers make me puke with their precious
mentality. The reason you can't get it on vinyl is because
no-one wants it on vinyl. Apart from you. And you're so
special and unique aren't you? Not like the scum who buy
cd's. Get a life.

Warp never have trouble shifting Aphex vinyl of any kind.

How you doing Bill? :>

just shut it hicks.
we're not unique and special, we do have a life and we own a
record player and that's why we want to get it vinyl.

hahaha i love bill's comments. always so wonderful and full
of joy.... i cant beleive that its not coming out on
vinyl(which has better sound reproduction than CDs if stored
properly(ie no dust) :p)

Sorry guys but I am quietly quite happy that it is not
coming out on vinyl..

I spent years (literally) trolling the second hand record
shops to get most of those remixes on vinyl, and I was
thinking after hearing about them all being released
together - what the feck was the point in all that effort
then...?

I feel bad for everybody else though...

Listen kraut, there is a new device that has been around in
Britain for a while. It's called a CD player. Get with the
times, and get that mullet cut and that moustache shaved
while you're at it!

Yeah, but CDs are compressed to fuck. Vinyl lets the must
breathe.

I've e-mailed Warp to ask for a confirmation of this info.
I'm hoping they come back with a reply soon that says that
it was a misunderstanding and that it will be on Vinyl but
not as a 4 pack or something like that. Plus it'll be a
bright lurid pink colour!

I like vinyl for home use or live mixing. CDs are much
better for carrying around and since I'm out and about a lot
it's easy to look after CDs. The fact 26 mixes in not coming
out on vinyl is a pain but it A) won't be easy to abuse and
overuse by DJs. B) Will keep the original format of the
music with it's own style.

Oh and some bite but others don't. Depends what bait you
use.

Me too, I can almost ignore the 'EMI' logo on some of their
releases now. I'd rather they got my cash if they are
showing an interest in being helpful. The lovable antics of
Rephlex don't go down well with me when it's other record
labels doing it.

Vinyl will never die! Whereas CDs fuck up if you just look
at them in the wrong way.

Im not much of a vinyl collector but those who do aint
"boring bastards". I mean come on... vinyl copies look SOOO
much better! Esp. heavyweight vinyl... :) People would pay a
hefty amount for someone's vinyl version of, say, Hangable
Autobulb... I think vinyl is sweet so there. None of yer
digital piss.. ;p
