Why do you think there are so few Aphex releases? Like
maybe one or two a year?

Just like to add that I'd like to see perhaps a few releases
or rereleases each year of old stuff or unreleased old stuff
etc etc.

Because he doesn't want to release any more than that. Or
he is releasing under a different name and noone realises.
Either way, he is being a cunt :)

Well yeah maybe. Perhaps he is trying not to flood the
market. I guess the psychology must be that the less records
he releases the more we lust for what he does release.

I think the analogy is Drexciya for my knowledge at least
for a long time there didn't appear to be loads of Drexciya
releases and what ones I could get hold of were like gold
dust. But then either they started to release more records
or whatever but I suddenly wasn't so keen because now as I'd
discovered they're are just too many records and the quality
doesn't seem to be as good as their older releases. So
although I'm still a fan its not like it use to be.

hmm, i'd still buy all his releases
ok in some limits-not more than lets say 30 releases per
year

He used to release loads of stuff though, now it has slowed
down. I suppose he has got older. Needs the money less.
Got his regular girl. Bought a tank. Abandoned his fans.
Made me cry.

I just buy whatever he releases as and when it comes out.
There is plenty of other good stuff being released so I
don't panic too much :)

What I want is all this stuff which he's supposed to have
done over the years. I suppose it'll begin to come out in
trickles soon its has to. I mean I don't like the Beetles
but it was the same they kept finding bits and bobs and
remastering them and then bringing them out. I personally
would buy old Aphex stuff even if it was shit. I just love
the idea of buying something he did back in say '92 but
never released but then I guess he knows that and its just a
question of time eh.
