Here's the plot:

This summer I'm planning to pack my bags and drive around
scandinavia for about 2 weeks.
From the north of holland I can reach denmark in half a day.
The plan is to stay there 2 days and move on into sweden, or
maybe cross over into south norway.

I want to see norway, denmark, sweden and mabye finland (If
my car and cash let me)

So... I've seen a lot of scandinavian people uphere, so my
question to you is:
What are nice places to visit? (I mean both nature and
culture)

hmm :) it depends on what you want to do. if you come to
finland (its very cheap to take a car ferry from stockholm
to helsinki or turku) i can arrange you something in
helsinki. whatever floats your boat :)

Well Stockholm is the largest city. Up in the north where I
live we have very beautiful nature. And loads of snow :)

There is snow in the summer? :)
I'll bring my little red sled!

I'm thinking of starting in norway, ending in Finland, or
maybe the other way around.

I have 5 months left to plan this :)

(overhere we also have beautifull, smokeable nature)

What about fuel prices (my car's a diesel)? Food prices.....
do you guys accept euro's ??? (j/k)

reprezentin' Norway:

the obvious choice if you're in South Norway is to visit
Oslo. been there some three times, and i liked it a lot
there.

That's why I'm doing vacation dutch-style:

I'll bring allmost everything myself (including meat, rice,
potatoes, vegetables, soap, radio, camera+films, first aid
kid, spare first aid kit, 4 spare tires, an inflatable raft,
a tent, a spare tent, spare legs for the tent, repairsets
for both the tent and the raft, a set of snowtires,
flashlights (2), cooking gear + backup butagaz tanks, candy,
bread, eggs, milk, cloggs and tulips to sell to the people,
emergency lights + these supercool firework things...
lightbullets?.

But I guess I will drive back after 2 hours to check if I
turned off all lights and close the gas faucet.

Boinggggg!

Any more tips?

Is it a rough travel to get from the westcoast Norway
straight to the east, to Sweden?
I havent got a clue what I can expect, considering roads and
weather.

as far as i know they have really nice roads, traffic must
be really relaxing for a change :)
about the weather-if you're going during summer, nothing to
worry about

haven't been to the west coast, but i think you'll do just
fine. Norway's not a very big country, you know....
btw, the summers are absolutely beautiful in Norway :)

rain is aboot the only thing you need to 'worry' here on the
summer.

I can only talk about Denmark here, even tho i can tell you,
Stockholm is also a really really beautiful city worth some
time.
Obviously Copenhagen is the place to be..... I can only say,
if you're into the whole thing about "Blonds with huge
tits", scandinavia lives up to the hype. (Unlucky for me,
that i'm into dark persons and small breasts.. =()
So you're have to see at least one club in Copenhagen
(everything except a place called "in" will do fine).
Tivoli, (a giant park with amusements in central
Copenhagen), well if you feel like seeing it, be sure to do
it when its dark, because its much more nice. But in
general, its a pricy place.

Good shops in Copenhagen
Loud Music: (ask for "magstræde"), a record shop that deals
in electronica and electro, techno, drumm n bass and shit
like that. I found mike and rich there, and caustic window
compilation and shit like that.

Fantask: Cool comic shop, and the man that owns it is a
legend for us geeks (he translated spiderman, and had a
geeky mailbox in the mag)

And as a sidenote, just be aware that "pik" means the same
in dutch and danish.... and in Danish, if you say "taske"
you mean "bag", and in sweden, youre saying "hooker".

Just ask, if you want more details about something.

Especially cars. I saw an American program, and what this
geezer paid for a classical ferrari, is less than what my
dad paid for a new mazda 626....

Screwy. But you being from Holland, some say that the
country that is most comparable with Denmark, is actually
Holland.

All the scandinavian/northern countries are equally good
imo. they're really not that different.
