Doesn't it make you think of a church?
Omfg that would be awesome. Vietrmx21 played really loud in
a huge empty gothic cathedral at night.

I have actually tried that out in a similiar way by listen
to the track in "CHURCH"-mode on my amplifier. Very cool
with the gernerated surroundeffect and the subwoofer causing
the whole house shaking, like a spaceship starting off...

SONY QS-receiver (a model in the 8xx-series, can't recall
the exact product # right now)... and a quite decent 5.1
speaker system.

Similiar artists, I'm not really sure about this... I'm only
able to recommend specific tracks:

Alders & Elius - SKA013 - in effect

try out those ones.
Alders & Elius - SKAMCD3/SKALP0003 - revolving squiggle
drum

Try Atom Heart National Blur...

It reminds me of Vietrmx21.

ekkehard ehlers' john cassavetes 1 from his plays album is
much in the same style, less sophisticated but just as
beautiful/melancholy!

Nothing on the Garbage EP is "garbage", especially
vletrmx21!

Anybody who says otherwise gets a free hole in the
head...and a heaping serving of death at no extra charge!

;)
