I just finished reading this book and am going to watch the
movie either today or tomorrow. Which do people prefer, I'd
like to know?

Book. I think the movie missed out on some important themes
in the book.

Still a nice good shocking movie, though.

the movie leaves out the last chapter of the book..... (if
the version you read had the full 21 chapters?)
there were (at least) two versions published - the one with
20 chapters was the (first?) US version. i think.

Comparing books to movies is ridiculous.

apples / oranges

Enjoy the movie.

read the book first too.

without having a small dictionary in the back - the best way
to read it, imo.

book is better, as usual.

Read the book, saw the flick.

I like the movie better. I think it's just because Kubricks
vision for the story is better than the vision I whipped up
when reading it.

*slooshies soundtrack*

chapter.

yeah, the book was great.. one of my favorites.. i think i
liked it better than the movie, overall.. which is also one
of my favorite movies..

the parts of the soundtrack i've heard are swell also..
the intro music in that movie is the best ever.. the big
moog stabs as it flashes the title and then pans through the
korova milk bar...gives me chills every time

Allthough its a good movie, its heavy to watch it. I really
felt tired afterwards.
Maybe becauseit isn't one of these mass-product movies we
see nowadays?

hahaha MachineofGod you sound JUST like me. :)

Ive read some of the book (but got distracted by lots of my
other unread books!) but I adore the movie. :) Great acting,
very intense scenes.

the book is definetely better than the movie. The certainly
lacked a few needed things. Still one of my favorite movies
though. And do indeed check out the soundtrack. Try and
find the 10 track version. It has full versions of the
songs rather than the other version that contains songs
aside from those by Wendy Carlos, and some of the songs are
also shorter...

I never got around to watching it, I should check it out as
it sounds really awesome from what you all say

ok, well i suppose what i'm going to say will make people
want to tolchok me in the litso, but i don't really give a
toss.

I think people who say they dont need to know the meaning of
the nadsat language are full of shit.

The book is so terribly confusing by it, and even if you can
guess some meanings of words there's still too much you will
be wondering about throughout the rest of the book. However,
I don't see this as a bad thing at all. The word list wasn't
written for no reason.

"What's it going to be then, eh?"

its a pile of overrated shit. if the book is good, don't
rruin yourr opinon of it by seeing the film.
i saw it on the rre-rrelease, so i guess it was all the hype
that rruined it. i wasent imprressed.
