What is that windowlicker remix the first guy plays in the
car in the video for windowlicker? i really need to
know...it's like 30 secs long but is really good

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-04-03 22:59 [#00002467]

Prolly a short mix made up by Richard -- but I'm not
sure...actually.

AFXDUB from Canada on 2001-04-03 23:16 [#00002468]

I do not believe there is a name, it was most likely just
throwin in there, not recorded or anything. I also love the
mix at the end of the video when the credits are rolling.
Its great.

No, the end credit stuff was vibert. The scratch stuff in
the beginning in the car was just aphex.

No offence to Luke, but I don't think vibert is talented
enough to to do that 30 second intro.

the end-roll version is still excellent, though. most of my
friends who don't like electronic music just want to have
that one track. it's amazing. for whatever reason that song
pops up in conversations for no reason whatsoever. and yes,
there's lots of singing involved when that happens. or what
would you call naking those crying cat-like sounds.

I've got a mix of it someone cobbled together. It's ok, but
I don't think it's a fuller version of what's there.

is this japanese windowlicker track of such a nature that
someone unwittingly would name it "aphex twin - windowlicker
(acid edit)" ?

no, it really doesn't sound like windowlicker at all.

No, it sounds like something off of the fantasy album that
has more stuff like Windowlicker on it. The fact that
there's confusion is that it's just called Windowlicker
Demo, the same as on the US / Europe edition, but the actual
music... is different.

hmm.. odd. anyway, I just found a file called "windowlicker
(japanese demo version)" so I'm hoping it's a file of
windowlicker japanese demo version.

The usual one is 2:39 whilst the japanese one is 1:57. You
can compare on Discogs if you bloody like.

1,71 mb mp3 should fit that description very well, I
reckon...

Ah, i have heard to different tracks (both from napster -
old skool)

1: Windowlicker demo

This one truly sounds like windowlicker, only stripped of
all the details, so its like that same basic loop repeated
over and over again

2: Windowlicker japanese hidden track

As far as i remember it, this one sounds completely
different, sounds more like something in the style of Come
to daddy - little lord faulteroy mix or something

can someone mail it to me? I've got a gmail that is the mail
from my profile, remove all web thingies (the @ and the
.org), then collapse to one word (you should get
torbjornolseth if you did your maths correctly), and then
you add @gmail.com

I can't understand why an aphex fan wouldn't like the
scratch mix in the vid. Probably my favorite bit of music
out of him. I guess thats what makes the world go round.
