for me it's all about the Colt 45 - smooth and tasty
drinkability + proper price= old standby. when i have the
funds to go topshelf it's Fat Tire Amber Ale or Guiness

There are good American wines. Mostly Californian, but a
handful from Washington as well. Tell me what kind of wine
you like and I'll recommend something. ;-)

for normal binge-drinking: Hertog Jan

for tasty drinking: La Choufe, Verboden Vrucht, La Trappe
Quadruple (HEAVY!)..etc.

eartleakage: yeah, guiness is quick in the drinking,
although after a few pints it does feel like I've drunk a
small lake.

I noticed there are a few Guinness drinkers outside Ireland.
You might want to give Murphy's Stout a try. I think it
travels better - you should try the Murphy's can if you find
it. I like it a lot more than export Guinness.

Guinness in a bottle is vile and the cans aren't a whole lot
better. I'd rather drink Beamish!

hmm, I see your dilema maybe you should write to Guiness
explaining they would be responsible for denying the planet
another tree unless they send a couple of kegs and the
pump/cooler system for free.
