I'm giving my first listen to this album and it's very
interesting... really good drum'n'bass.
Someone know something more about Polar?

I feel a little bit of Polygon Window style inside track1
"Bipolar Suns".

Polar also goes by the name "K".. He has some releases on
the Subtitles label and just did a 12" with John Tejada on
the new Metaformal label. <-keep your eyes on metaformal). I
have a shitload of K records.. hes from norway i think..
(and uses/used fasttracker!)

If you like Polar you may want to check out:

Teebee
JuJu
Pieter K
Calibre

Hey Pomme, I know this sounds a bit vague, but a while back
(in .nu days) you mentioned something about a drum & bass
record that you had purchased, and you said it was really
good and interesting...

Unfortunately, I don't remember the name. Um... sound
familiar at all?

Ok, I'm listening this really cool drum'n'bass track :)
Anyway I knew it, 'cos it should be in the
Polar-Live on Radio1 One World-3rd January 2002, isn't it?

i think Polar is amazing, I love Out of the Blue, and also
Teebee is amazing too. I'm suprised they dont get mentioned
more often round here. I highly recommend them to anyone who
is curiously reading this post.

Have you heard Teebee's Forever Lost EP? Track 2 (Warfear)
samples from the track "The Wheat", from the Gladiator
soundtrack, originally written by Hans Zimmer and Lisa
Gerrard. And Evil Ways is amazing too.

Polar = K = Kjetil Dale Sagstad, grow up in a small place
outside Bergen (Norway) called Knarvik together with
teebee.

Together they made Black Science in 1999, released on
Beatservice Records.

The first Polar album was 37degrees C and falling
(certificate18) (amazing album). Then Still Moving and Out
of the Blue.

He moved to USA (San Frasisco?) some years back and have
done several things after that (music to playstation etc).

Unfortunately he has big problems with tinnitus, so he has
taken a break from producing :(
