I have an old playstation one but for my next birthday (30
september) I'd like to get a new one.
...so help me to choose...

Which is your fav between the followings:

1] - Sony Playstation II
2] - Nintendo Cube
3] - Microsoft X-Box

Please, choose one between these 3 names and let me know who
is the best.

1. PS2 hands down owns all other systems.

x-box had such horrible controllers.. i have very small
hands and they were HUGE... also it kept crashing and
twitching. it sucked ass.

ps2 is 'ok', cube i haven't tried, but my fav is the sega
dreamcast :)

1] - Sony Playstation II
2] - Nintendo Cube
3] - Microsoft X-Box

I have both PS2 and Gamecube...but here in the UK there just
aren't enough games for me to really draw comparisions
properly between the two consoles.....Rogue Leader (Star
Wars on GC) is awesome! And of course Gamecube doesn't play
DVDs, but the price tag reflects that.....

Hehehehhe 30 years this September Woofer eh? Welcome to my
world!!

'72 Rules! Yay!

Cube, especially after tommorow.........SUPER MARIO
SUNSHINE!!!!!!!!!

and damn, the wavebird wireless controller makes gamming 2x
fun.

PS2 has great titles, but graphics are getting left behind.

XBOX is great, I'm just not a supporter, I chose GameCube
over it, and have been glad I did.

Some like it hot.......

I try not to think about the actual consoles but the games
themselves, which system has most games that you want to
play? as for the x-box I think microsofts better at the pc
market, that contoller is a shocker indeed

1.X-Box
2.Gamecube
3.PS2

Like I said, there are going to be some BRILLIANT AND
INNOVATIVE games exclusively for the Xbox come Christmas
2002/Q1 2003. Do searches for Project Ego, B.C., and
Psychonauts. The former two are both being developed by
seperate branches of Lionhead Studios(Black & White fame).
Psychonauts was conceived by the creator of Day of the
Tentacle, Monkey Island, and Grim Fandango(Tim Schafer I
believe).. Three timeless adventure games put out by Lucas
Arts for the PC.

I'm not sure what everyone's gripe is with the Xbox
controller.. It feels fine to me. In fact, I picked up one
of the smaller Japanese 'S' gamepads(made in response to
complaints that the original was too bulky)and have only
used it two or three times. Does anyone have any valid
reasons why the Xbox is a 'horrid thing' or is it just the
old 'Everything by Microsoft sucks because they have lots of
money'?

As much as I love the Original Nintendo... they dont last
very long. If you've got a working one.. dont lose!!!!

I've gone thru about 3-4 NES recently, and they only last
for about 5 hrs.

The NES was made with cheap parts to cut costs.... Nintendo
said so themselves.

Go with the Gamecube!!
With its ridiculously cheap price and awesome graphics
(Rogue Leader is like watching a film and Turok Evolution is
gonna cane the same game on any other format), it's gotta be
Gamecube!

It all depends on what games you're interested in buying...

people buy to play nowerdays but I bought my PS2 coz I
wanted wipeout F, GTA3, FF10 andMTV music Gen 2

Think of all the games that are out right now and in the
imidiate future and decide which ones you want... then weigh
up the pros and cons and take into account the
multi-platform games.

Does anyone else agree with me that this is the only
non-bias way of deciding what console to buy?

I think it's an hard battle between Playstation II and
Gamecube here, X-box of Bill Gates seems out of the games.

every console has its good games, but i prefer ps2. i think
it has more.

(besides, the gamecube controller is hard to handle, and the
x-box is bad because x-box = microsoft and microsoft =
evil!!)

some people like it, some don't... i liked the shape of the
n64 controller very much, but even after hours of playing i
still have difficulty with the gamecube controller...

Its not as easy to handle as the N64 but, like anything once
you are used to it there'll be no stopping you.

Windows whenever/wherever possible and I certainly won't be
going near any bulky controllered shite design x-box!

Being that I'm a HUGE Sega fan, I'll be one of the first to
say that the xbox will (isn't now) be the best of the
consoles. Panzer Dragoon Orta, House of the Dead 3, Shenmue
2, Toe Jam and Earl 3, Sega GT 2, crazy taxi 3, PSO etc.
and those are just sega games!! The list goes on with
Splinter Cell, Blinx (looks brilliant (finally an evolution
in gaming using the hard drive of the boX), Dead to Rights,
Roject Ego,Steel Battalion, Quantum Redshift, Metal Gear
Solid X, and so on, the list goes a lot longer than the
other consoles that's for sure :)
But if you want something for now, I'd say get a Dreamcast
if you don't have one already. They are the best system
ever and I'm still buying games for it (Shooter Ikaruga next
week!!), Marvel VS. Capcom 2 is also worth getting the
machine for in iteself...oh well thats my speel.

for those that whinge about the xbox pad, there is a second
'first-party' pad out called the s-pad or some crap, its
more like a mix between the ps2 one and Dreamcast one and is
said by many to be the best controller ever...The gamecube
controller is the worst *imagines playing a fighter on GC*
%o

well if you want to play the great games on the system,
you'd buy the alternative, smaller controller. Being a

well
x box got alot of the pc style games
the reest of the line of games is just not interesting so
far
i wanted to get one for xmass and now i am re thinking since
the games are not that all
GC is getting alot of FUN games
you know
the ones that you dont have to KILL everything
fun games
and some new dark games
but the thing is
the games on GC are DIFFERENT from the ones on PS2
the games on Xbox are a BAD and CHEAP and so much like what
on PS2
first choice PS2
2nd choice GC
last and least Xbox....save this for your xmass...
fro your birthday it is a PS2 man

Soul Edge and Soul Blade were also good... lets not forget
our roots on the psx versions....

PS: All "VS" games are streetfighter sins and should never
have been made. very little skill involved. So little it'll
make you cry.

gcube has the best gameplay andis soooo addicting xbox has
pc style games indeed and why should you play pc games on a
console if you already have a pc and the controls are crap
(first person shooter w/ a xbox gamepad just sucks) the only
good thing on xbox was halo the rest is crap

gamcube has better gfx than ps2 and gamecube is cheaper
