All quinten terrantino does is rip off cult films. Jackie Brown was him piecing together different blacksploitation flicks into his own thing. There wasn't any originality in kill bill, but its still one of the best movies I have seen in ages.
I work in a movie theater. One of the only benefits is that I get to see movies like kill bill weeks before they are released.

Kill Bill, meaning the one with Uma Thurman as some kind of crazy martial artist? Gimme a fucking break. I haven't seen the movie but judging from the scene I saw in the preview of a little girl walking in on Vivica A Fox and Uma fighting, I think I've decided what new movie NOT to see. the couple proceeds to hide its weapons while the entire house is totally trashed. good one you bimbos, maybe now the girl wont notice the two strangely sweaty/fatigued women or that her normally docile home is WRECKED. TERRIBLE! dont see this movie because of the lame, bullshit stuntwork characteristic of all new action flicks where any average joe can be a martial arts champ, and because of its shitty name(kill bill? GAY). Cmon people, thats what makes Bruce lee, Jackie Chan, and Jet Lee movies good... they are actually proficient in their art, unlike some schmuck strapped to a harness being bunjeed around. LAAAAAME.

i liked pulp fiction, but dont know if i've seen any of his other works. I'm sorry, but I just cannot take the idea of Uma Thurman as a ninja seriously, with her skinny, small-framed body. Ever seen female martial arts masters? They are STOCKED (muscularly defined/fit) for a reason.

maybe that is supposed to be seen as humorous. Have you not seen humor before in movies? When i saw this i laughed..... seriously. I understand Mr tarentino and got the joke right away.
moving along this movie IMO will be good. If you beg to differ go to the theater and watch it and let's discuss it. I ill be there tomorrow afternoon.

There wasn't anything serious about this movie. The simpleminded name and the rampant use of cliches (even from the trailer) should have someway suggested that this was at least partly a comedy.

Yeah, I just got back from it as well.
The animated scene which was done by the people responsible for Ghost in the Shell was cool.
It was a cool movie, definitely inspired by old-school Samurai Flicks.
And that GoGo chick, was hot...until you see her from the side with her nose, but I don't care she's still FINE.

Yeah well, I'm sorry if I didnt get the comical elements about it from seeing a 20 second trailer (I don't find cheap special effects funny), and im tired of ridiculous weapons SMASHING through walls and shit like that in movies. Don't the laws of physics mean anything to anyone anymore? why can people just do triple back flips an then run up a wall over their enemy who they proceed to jump kick and totally annihilate? I know partly the reason for movies is to show things that cant be done in real life, but this one does not appeal to me. Also, there are plenty of other hot chicks out there that dont make cheesy ass movies. Oh, and rampant use of cliches isnt funny to me, maybe because of what a cliche is? (totally overrused, not new or exciting in any way) basically i feel that if someone just making a bunch of cliches is funny to you, you need to reevaluate what you find humorous. Another thing, I hate comical martial arts movies.. the two weren't made to mix. I like my martial arts movies to be serious, dramatic, and full of hardcore action (not that kill bill isnt full of action, havent actually seen but from what ive heard) The reason I hate comical martial arts movies is because corny ass shit is always happening in the middle of badass fight scenes, and for me that totally ruins it. If I wanted corny I would go see a fucking disney film, not an action flick. My opinion stands: the only way im going to see this movie is if Lucy Liu herself sits me down, blows me, and then puts the tape on. After a good blow, im usually up for just about anything.

its was alright, it was definately entertaining and had its moments but its nothing revolutionary or anything, just a good action\comedy(in the tarantino sense) film. its pretty similar to his past movies but instead of lots of guns, theres swords. that anime part was really well done too.

saw this yesterday and I was fucking astounded !!
I have been avoiding as much info about this film as possible and was gobsmaked with the amount of violence and extream deaths ! FANTASTIC !!
Allot of the death/fighting sceens were FULL of cheesy effects, like when people's limbs were cut off and there were gallons of blood pouring out of them and shit, but it fit so well and didn;t look as bad as it probably should have.
You can tell that tarintino had LOADS of fun making this film =oD

i like it though, how each viper the bride faces comes very close to offing her. the suprise gun shot, O Ren's slice accross her back, GoGo's choke maneuver (well gogo wasn't a viper but that kinda counts for another near O Ren victory)
