heh heh, it's a pain to score.. it'd be easier if scoring was automatic. I was just kidding but you have the idea. a person gets one point per message he/she posts ONLY in topics that are closed by ANOTHER person. The resulting strategic behavior to get points would naturally result in ludicrous behavior, posting explicit sexual pictures and blaming them on other people... taunting people until they explode in a retaliation that causes the topic to close, putting blame on innocent people etc etc... in other words, it'd be a hoot! Games theorists could devise nearly unbeatable strategies and tactics. |

Plus posting lots of useless fluff messages only to get more points when the topic closes. Maybe the entire "aphex twin community" could go to "war" with another messageboard, for a completely nerdy game of some sort. We need some rules/guidlines, something to have war about and some clear way for one side to win. We could all attack some weird messageboard, like one for Jim Henson or something. |

but technically... if you say "for gods sake, someone close this topic", and it gets closed... arnt you then the one responsible for getting it closed? cause you requested it? hence you get no points... |

Ok, a more specific rule is that the individual's negative BEHAVIOR that got it closed is what counts... u could say my behavior of requesting it closed would count, but that behavior would be positive to the community by ridding it of such awful posts/behavior. |

New rule: everyone whose name starts and ends with the same letter gets 2 points per message instead of 1. Also all people named zeus automatically lose one point per day unless they respond in the force field thread that day. |
