I was looking for a bootleg where Tricky duets with Tool
and discovered that Ogre(Skinny Puppy) Remixed Stinkfist and
Fortysix & 2.

Can anyone give me any info on these?

Yup, he did the mixes but the band didn't like em and tried
to keep them unreleased. They're on Soulseek, however.

I've yet to hear any rock song sound satisying when remixed,
personally. Heard a cheesy remix of ''Riders on the Storm''
in the car the other day that nearly sent me into a
telephone pole in disgust. Methinks I'll avoid any Tool
remixes...

Tapeworm is a recording project between Trent Reznor and
Maynard Keenan.....It has been said probablly like 10 years
ago,about that historic session,but never
released, unfortunately,Trent just says in interviews he's
releasing it but,WTF is he waiting?????????????????
LeCoeur should have a nice description of this project
too......Go ahead LeCoeur....

Vamp.....your description works just fine....just add
Charlie Clouser into that mix as well. it's this project
that gets teased every six months.......it's killing me cos
i mean can you imagine what those guys MIGHT have come up
with!!

it may be brilliant or suck loads.....either way i wanna
hear it. i may have to go dumpster diving into trents trash
to see if he ever throws out the tapes.....ahhahahha

=0)

You're right LeCoeur,Trent must have this on the dust
bin,dying to get released,he doesn't even look at it,damn
it!!!!!!!! And with those 3,I just believe to hear something
brilliant and a bit different because Maynard K also plays
guitar/electronics and some other stuff,so I can just
imagine how Tapeworm might sound, but still,it's too
unfuckingpredictable....All 3 have different tastes and
approach in music..............

all the tapeworm mp3's online are fake except for "vacant"
which is a tapeworm song performed live by a perfect circle
in 2001

agreed......i hope it finally gets put out......but it's
been so long you have to wonder.

lacquero i know about APC playing a tapeworm song
live....everyone thought trent would be pissed by
that....dunno if he was or wasn't.....someone had a rip of
it on kazaa? i don't use that program.
=(

Yeah Laqeuro,I did find that Tapeworm live thing and yes
like it a lot,but what I really want are the original tapes
from the first recording sessions, that will be a real
treat,wouldn't it????
It's not the same hearing it from just A Perfect Circle
thatn hearing the actual original recording from those 3
musicians......=)
Butr still,thanx a lot for your info,well
appreciated......:)

personally i've been following tapeworm very closely and i'm
confident a cd will be released at the tail end of this year
or sometime in the first half of next year. here's a very
good link for you to get informed about some of the POSSIBLE
guests:

tapeworm info from a charlie clouser page

that page has a lot of very specific old info. charlie
clouser is NO LONGER involved on the album. they've re-done
the whole thing this year, and now it's more "song" based
than experimental. the group is comprised of:
trent
maynard
danny lohner
atticus ross (of the duo 12 rounds)
....drum tracks are being laid down by both jerome dillon
(nin live drummer) and josh freese (apc drummer).

personally i'm excited about the current lineup, but i'd
also like to hear the now-ancient tapeworm sessions when it
was just charlie, danny, and trent.

i heard it will be released end of this year but then again
thyeve said that a million times. and isnt maynard only on
1 or 2 songs, i dont consider him at all a big part of
tapeworm what happened to Page hamilton(helmet)?

now about Tool, since new perfect circle wont be out till
late 2003, im guessing Tool wont release anything till 2004
or 5 if at all.

well as of 2002 maynard's a much bigger part of the group,
apparently he's going to be on several songs. all the
contributions pre-2002 might be scrapped, including all the
stuff with page and phil anselmo. as for APC they've been
recording all year and half of last year, that album should
be out by summer 2003. tool, yea, that'll be a while.

i wish he never joined apc. i mean its pretty good but it
gets in the way of tool.

i mean Tool take forever without interfering side projects,
so the next wait will be even more ridiculous than Ænima to
Lteralus.

Well Maynard and Trent have something in common... some over
the top lyrics that at times make me want to cringe...
moreso with Trent. Maynard's voice is so awesome that you
can overlook some of the more, uhm, 10th grade goth poet
lyrics... and even then, it's not TOO often that the lyrics
are kind of iffy.

what kind of lyrics do you prefer?

I'm stumped... I'm not sure, really... in truth, there is
almost NO band that can write lyrics that totally satisfy
me. There will always be some lines that just seem too
''drama queenish'' to me, but particularly in that dark kind
of rock Reznor and the like do. They take themselves very
very seriously... if there IS humor there, it's as dark as
fuck.

Ænima has humor on it quite a bit. lateralus has
completely none though.
