Hey that's great! It took a long time to collect these
myself and sometimes they are only found in poor quality.

How many remixes are there? I have 32, if you count the two
Nine Inch Nails tracks as "remixes."

APHEX TWIN: REMIX COMPILATION LATER THIS YEAR

Aphex Twin is planning to release a compilation of his
remixes later this year.

This album brings together over 30 hard to find, old, new
and unreleased remixes that aphex has completed throughout
his career.

Ranging from beautiful ambient to brutal classics with all
the AFX magic in the middle, this double cd / quad vinyl
anthology features a diverse line up of artists and bands
who have received the aphex transformation treatment.

more news to follow shortly.

"unreleased"...yum yum...:)..

so much for him not releasing anymore material on WARP. That
Richard is such a liar. Up till this moment I believe
everything he said. Now I have my doubts.

and some of his remixes are my favourite bits of AFX...

especially...

Curve - Falling Free
St Etienne ones....both are v cool...
SeeFeel - Fast & Slow mixes...

This release is a good idea I must say.
He's done plenty of remixes, i'd be good to have them on
CD.

yeah, and why the fuck is he still putting shit out on
WARP?! I thought he wanted out!

who knows?...

Remix albums are generally pretty tricky to put together as
most artists just get paid a flat fee for doing a remix and
that's it...they don't own the track anymore...

So it'll be interesting to see what ends up on this
release....

Great news anyway...I've already got most of his remixes on
CD anyway so it's the "new & unreleased" tracks that
interest me...maybe some more stuff in that MEN1 style;
that'll be cool...

Then how long will it take for his next release[I say 5
years, for proper album],at least warp made him release some
stuff.

WARP THANK U!!!

THIs is much better than what other majors does....

I HATE THAT "Greatest hits" fucking lame shit :(

Now that would made me mad if they put

Windowlicker, CTD, Ventolin, Cock 10 etc on one album.

THIS IS GREAT I want those remixes NOW!!! :)

It is surely going to get a bit messy with all the lables
the remixes were issued on. They will all want their cut of
the profits. This could well prolungate the release date.

offline Archrival on 2002-08-08 11:56 [#00341393]

its so cheesy n catchy that its just insane

and I like that Turnips track and that Let my fish lose
and......etc etc

Yeah Jand I agree with ya some of his remixes is almost
Aphexs best works ;)

They have probably already fixed it, I dont think they would
announce it if the stuff wasnt cleared nah mean.

Its the kast intresting thing they can release by Aphex os
they taking this chance paying the other labels some money
and then releasing this (because they know that only a few
got these tracks, so its almost like a "totally new release)
a lot of people will buy this one.

best place would be Soulseek I reckon....

The AE DVD has only been on general release for a couple of
days so won't be long before someone does a decent
rip/encode...give it a week or so and something'll appear,
if it hasn't already...

Far nicer to own em on DVD tho....most rips don't look 1/2
as good as the originals as most codecs are pretty shit when
it comes to lots of scene changes & these videos have got a
lot of action taking place...

on the remix thing:
RDJ uses AFX for non-warp stuff right?
surely then there are some remixes that WON'T be on the new
compilation cos RDJ wants AFX seperate from Warp....
...just conjecting!.....i'm probably wrong!

plus Do you know Squarepusher is on WARP, yeah? How come
warp ain't said squat about it? Jand?
