That's what I respect the most in Jedi chris. He favours
good company and porn chit-chat and not just petty musical
preferences.

Don't knock John Williams! Have you heard his spanish guitar
versions of air on a G string and other "classic" classical
pieces?

Theres lot's of electronic music that I hate. I just try to
advoid it and listen to all the excellent electronic music
out there. Electronic music was the first type of music I
loved (or even liked) (Usura's Open your mind was my first
music purchase). I've grown up with it and I've listened to
a lot of electronic music on my musical journey. Most of the
stuff that I hate is happy hardcore, or just really cheesy
stuff with no soul or emotion. But it's sometimes good to
look back on. I mean I did used to love that music, and
perhaps I may not be listening to what I listen to now if I
had not listened to that happy hardcore and gabber. All of
my friends who where into electronic music switched over to
indie stuff, rock music, I'm not sure. Stuff like korn,
motorhead, offspring etc. But I still stayed with electronic
music.

What is the point to all this??! I'm not sure... LOL Umm, I
really love electronic music. But I also hate a lot. I
guess... :) I think I should stop typing before I ramble
onto another topic and meaningless drivel =D

Do you like Aphex Twin's music at all?

offline BlatantEcho from All over (United States) on 2002-07-26 18:08 [#00326052]
Points: 7210 Status: Lurker

i think most people dislike a majority of electronic music,
Aphex Twins at least.

Most of electronic is rave/happy hardcore stuff. LIke
someone said, no soul, no point but to roll to it on drugs.

I even have a hard time with some Boards of Canada
sometimes, but you find the tracks the fit you.

I love 95% of RDJ stuff, and I like my tracks mellow with a
lot of cohesive sounds.

About h8ing electronic music in general though, I must
wonder why you have put so much time into this board

I find some of the ambient stuff easy to listen to......but
I wouldn't listen to it by choice. Some of the stuff though
I find painfull!

John williams cant come up with anything original. Its
always the same music for every movie he does. BOOORING.

I'd prefer starwars more if the soundtrack contained
Ziggomatic V17.

The music to Star Wars is essential to the tone and feel of
the films. Williams has done some fantastic scores.
