For those into Star Wars..

(Hehe when I was typing out the Topic line I wrote "Star
Warts"...whoops!)

When I saw E2 again today I wasn't quite as disgusted by
Anakin as I was the first time I saw it.. in fact I realized
I identify with him waaaaaaay better than any other
character. If I carried his light saber, I think I'd also
end up on the dark side. Not because I'm a "bad" guy, but
just because I also have a lot of anger, fear, pride, etc.

What about you guys?

i so agree man...

i totally connect with anikin... its not a good thing... but
i do. fuck man, if some dudes killed my mom, id slaughter
them too...

yeah... anakin is definatly the one i relate to

and all those people who talk about how his love lines where
so cheesy...

it makes sense man...

think about it... the kid has been isolated for 10 years..
he has no interaction with girls... he is a romantic about
it because he hasnt actually experianced... so when he is
talking to padme, he says some lame stuff, but its nieve and
innocent

Exactly! I thought the same thing about his "love lines"
this time around.

I will admit, though, that there are still a few parts where
he seems overly annoying.

the best part in the movie is when his mom dies in his arms,
and the music is all sad... but then he looks up, and the
music goes all psycho...

fucking great... gives me shivers.

perfect music for that scene

i liked the movie, and i definitaly identified with anikin.
but i think the best part of the movie was yoda whoopin some
ass.

Both those parts are great, though the Yoda-whooping-ass
part was a little less exciting the second time around. That
sequence isn't quite long enough.

me and my girlfriend are planning to go see it again, i cant
wait too, im a SW freak! i only have one problem with the
whole prequel deal...in empire, ben says to yoda "wasn't i
the same when you trained me?"...ok heres my problem: yoda
didnt traid ben in the new one(s)...qui-gon did. i was
waiting to see if yoda would in e2 but he didnt...anyone
else notice this?

yoda trained him... but obi wan wasnt his padawan
learner...

yoda teaches lots of people... but then other jedis take the
role of being the full out teacher, taking someone as a
padawan...

example: yoda is teaching those little kids in E2, they
arent his padawn learners... just students... other jedis
will eventually take them under thier wing and teach them as
padawan learners...

make sense?

oh yeah definately, but it seemed from empire that ben was
yoda's padawan...at least thats how i put it together. maybe
im just trying to find loopholes, ok?????? OK????? heh, just
kidding...

Somehow I recently found myself reading the book of TPM... I
think it's by Terry Brooks but it might as well be by Lucas
himself as it's a pretty straight copy of the
screenplay/film anyway...

Did I like it?...not greatly but there's a few things you
don't 100% pickup from watching the film that get explained
a bit better...like how Anakin feels inside & like
that...(nothing wrong with the actor they chose but it's
sooo difficult to show interior thoughts in film anyway, &
having a kid do it was even harder...)..

so if you're a fan then it's worth a read, otherwise only if
you are desparate. Lifes too short....

didn't anyone notice in the scene where anakinis 'tossing'
and turning in his sleep "mom, mom"....it looks like he's
having a colosal spankarooney....it got serious sniggers
over here i can tell ya!
(which i found a little imature, but it was fairly unsubtle)

i still think hayden is a bad actor...but still, hey man

I dont mind seeing him turn to the dark side hahahah! i like
him better as darth.

jand.......one actor who is THE expert at showing interior
thoughts is one
Toshiro Mifune
<-
don't think he'd pass as vader though!

I think Anakin will look more badass in EP3

ObiWan looked cooler in EP2 then in EP1.

Luke looked like a homo in EP4 and EP5
But in Return Of the mofo Jedi!! he got these black clothes
and black glowe/robot hand that underlines the fact that he
is balancing on the edge too the darkside.
He even had a Black robe that resembled the Emperors robe
when he entered Jabas palace!!.

I think we will see something similar with Anakin.
The fact that George has asked Hayden to put on some muscles
for EP3 confirms this me thinks.
I hope he takes this request serious because David Prowse
(the one playing Vader in old episodes) was one big
fucker!!
You can spot David Prowse in "a clockwork orange" as the big
guy carrying the rich crippled man in wheelchair (the
husband to the woman that gets raped in the begining)
Look at those arms!!!
