xltronic video poll

ok, as we're working on xltronic, we reached the point
where we needed to decide what video format to choose.
we chose windows media 'cause it's slim and features
relatively good quality for low connections.
so, we need a few words on this. tell us how it works for
you!

btw, if you can't see the video at all try downloading the
standard (but current) windows media player here

i had to go to the directory (http://www.xltronic.com/poll/)
and to download the .wmv file to make it work though...

these indirect links are strange, are they voluntary? ?_?

Downloaded fine for me mate, but wouldn't play. Just got a
message saying "This version of Windows Media Player" s not
currently supported on Microsoft Windows 2000. A version
supporting Windows 2000 will be made available at a future
date."
Funnily enough I'm using Windows XP professional.

That video is great!! It matches the music so well.

Phobia: I can't see it with my Mac (I guess because there's

It's made by PLEIX a paris based collective of artists,
musicians etc...

I believe it was part of the recent WARP/CREATIVE REVIEW
Video competition...there more info at WARPs Site....

I've been spolt by watching it on DVD but I was well
suprised how good that video looked on this machine (1 Ghz
Athelon/Nvidia) and I'm only on a 56K dialup....it connected
& streamed it fine which is pretty rare for video on the
web, I find...

Good one, sine...

I believe Mplayer is the one most people use...

I've used it a few times to view MPEG stuff & it does have
the decoders for WMV & can stream em apparently...so should
work fine...

you who weren't able to see the video in the first place,

tight video i too read an article on the warp video awards
and i believe they won some award for that video.. nice
editing and it runs well... real player shit isnt bad for
streaming either but its totally a third party platform and
quicktime is a bitch to stream so i say stick to win media
player!
